STERILITE 16598008 56QT Storage Box

The price is right and if you are storing seasonal items, this is a great option. These bins are semi-transparent so that you can see your stored items without opening the box. The lid is a bit flimsy but if you are stacking the bins or storing on a shelf, they are great.

Durable. I like that I can see through them so I know what I’m them. Easy stacking to save space. Nice size to lift, when filled.

I've used these to house and prepare substrate for arachnids. I start by adding Coco coir and then boiling water directly to the bin. All I can say is that any "cheap plastic bin that doesn't deform from 2 inches of boiling water is a good bin! I've had these about 6 months and besides being brittle (if you try to cut into it) this is a terrific bin that is VERY reasonably priced for the size.

I bought these to move clothing and soft items into a storage unit. They need to be sturdy enough to withstand the hauling by the movers. I will update after my move and let you know how they held up. I got an 8 pack and two of the 8 were cracked at the top lip of the bin. I wanted to get replacements of just the two but it wasn’t an option and I would have had to return the whole thing. It’s just too heavy for me to walk that back to UPS with no car so I am just trying to deal with it and use the two broken ones. There is no padding in the cardboard box they came in so I’m surprised it was only two broken ones. Also, the lids do not stay on too well. The plastic is a bit flimsy and doesn’t have a snug fit on the bin. But I need to use these now so I’m going to use masking tape to secure the lids. I bought sterilite because it’s made in USA but they are not always as durable as Rubbermaid. We’ll see how they do during my move...

Bins were clean, sturdy, stackable, and great for file storage. You can see contents from the outside.

I am very pIeased with the quaIity of these storage bins for the price They serve my purposes for storing hoiIday decor Their sheerness makes it easy to see what's inside them I had to return some bins due to damage in shipping, and when I reached out to the company, they were so friendIy, poIite and more than accommodating! It is obvious that they care highIy about customer satisfaction!

Light weight compared to other totes. Great for women or small in stature to lift onto shelves when full of items.

Good size for larger items (56 qt). Clear color plastic makes seeing what is inside easy. Built well, but plastic is more brittle than I prefer; ther is some give, but don't push your luck. They stack nicely and nest when not in use. Two out of eight in a case (bought 16, arrived in two cases) arrived damaged. You'll either have to ship them all back for a replacement/refund or eat the cost. I'm throwing mine away locally vs. shipping it so someone at a warehouse states away can receive it, open up a box, fill out paperwork and throw it away there.

Most of the lids won't attach well to the boxes, at first I thought maybe I was sent the wrong lids.

Excelente compra, muy buenos contenedores, quedé muy contenta
