After many failed efforts to find a satisfactory headboard lamp, finally, I have a bed lamp that really works. This one. The first thing that caught my attention is the wonderfully powerful, large, and sturdy metal clamp. It’s big enough and strong enough to securely attach the lamp wherever you want it and is unlikely to break like the plastic ones I’ve had in the past. That alone makes this a success for me. But, of course, there are a lot more features that make this a winner.In keeping with how things are done now, it’s powered by USB through a converter that plugs into a standard outlet. Or you can plug its USB cord into any USB power source. I have a multiple-socket USB power source on my nightstand. I plugged the bed lamp into it along with my phone charging code and four other charging codes for other devices that I charge overnight. That leaves the USB converter free for use in other places.My next favorite feature is the long, flexible goose-neck stalk that holds the light head. The old metal spiral-wrapped stalks are now gone; this heavy-duty rubbery-substance covered stalk is strong, very adjustable, and gives a feeling a security, knowing it isn’t going to slowly drop down of its own weight or break, as all my old ones did. It’s long enough to let the light reach well out over the bed (or desktop) to put the light right where you want it. It’s strong enough stay exactly where you put it—indefinitely. I love it.The light itself is an LED with the great features that come with modern lighting. You get three light temperatures and degrees of brightness. For night reading, it’s important to have the mild yellow-tinged light with little or no blue in it because blue light turns on your physical wakefulness responses. During the day, the higher intensity white and blue light are appropriate. I use the soft, warm, yellow light almost exclusively. The LED, of course, does not get hot with use.The control unit is on the cord that hangs from the clamp and leads to the power plug. It falls right into my reach without difficulty. It has controls for light temperature and brightness as well as power on and off. It has a rather bright little blue light on it to help you find it in the dark.I love this lamp for its strong and effective clamp, its super-sturdy goose-neck stalk, its small, cool lamp head, and its controllable light characteristics.

The light choices and dim to bright settings are excellent, as is the overall quality of the lamp as far as I can tell. REALLY strong clamp - I have to use my 2 small hands to open it, but I know it's not moving when clamped! Nice looking black and silver, easily adjustable neck that stays in place. Would definitely buy this one again, and would consider a longer neck if the same company makes it. I like the small box it comes it as I could pack it up when traveling in our small trailer. Versatile with the USB and 110 wall plug, and the way of changing the light characteristics on the control is very straightforward. Thank you for this product!

Have been using this Light for about a week and the Lamp itself is awesome but the overall design has some problems:POSITIVE: Super Strong Clamp/clip holds onto anything! However it's difficult to actually open the clamp - an older or weaker person may have trouble actually opening it!POSITIVE: Choice of Warm or Cool Light. Very nice. Also has a single push-button multi-step dimmer which is great. However the controls are midway down the 6' electric cord. I use this lamp at my desk and the controls are either out of reach hanging down the back of the desk, or within reach with 3' of electrical cord looped on my desk. Yuk. There must be a better alternative.POSITIVE: Can be powered w a USB port on computer. This is convenient but again, I now have 3' of electrical cord on my desk. Besides, who has an "extra" USB port?.Only mediocre design around a great, adjustable Light bulb

Very nice lamp - it was a good choice!

The priority of my needs were:(1) adequate lighting for my desk-top study area,(2) low energy required,(3) low heat generated,(4) structural stability,(5) strength and durability of the clamping device which securely clamps the light to the desk,(6) eye-pleasing, high-tech design,(7) space-savings on my desk top.(8) color temperatureCompared to other brands and manufacturers, this unit is the landslide winner for me!Fortunately, my desk top is 2 inches thick and has a 2 and 1/2 inch ledge on which to clamp the light. So it is a good fit for the clamp. It appears that a thicker desk top, or a shallower ledge around the desk top, may not allow the clamp to be attached to your desk properly. So that you will be completely satisfied, be sure to measure the thickness of your desk top and the depth of the ledge prior to purchase. You definitely will need something stable to clamp this light to. Overall, the unit absolutely met all of my needs!Couldn’t be happier, great buy at a great price.

I keep this lamp clipped to a my work desk in a home office that also use to sometimes work on plastic models. For work purposes, it is more than sufficiently bright to illuminate the small print I have to read and it flexes very easily to wherever I need to cast light. Most importantly for me though is that it's probably the best light I've ever had for use in constructing plastic model aircraft. It has multiple switches on it that allow you to choose varying intensities of light. You get a standard white, a soft yellow, and a soft blue/white. This combination is absolutely perfect for me to pick out small details and determine realistic shadow points on the models that have made weathering and staining of the models so much easier. I wish I had this thing 30 years ago. I've also had it for a few months now, and have experienced no issues. It easily clips on to a top shelf on the desk and is small and unobtrusive. Love this little lamp.

I use these lights for many reasons. The clamps are very powerful and strong. It has a very long neck, which is very handy and useful. The lights have several different settings of brightness. And the cord is also long, and can be plugged into a USB port or an outlet. It took me about 6 different lights before I finally found something that was high-quality and this product is high-quality. Very durable and very strong

It is a decent reading light, especially for bedtime or as nightstand light. However, it is not nearly powerful enough for most other application. My intended use case was to have it as a desk light (as portrayed in one of the pictures) and it is not bright enough, not even close. Not a bad product, but not bright enough to serve as a serious lamp.

An excellent product, it has been extremely useful and used a lot.
