Part 1 - Sight Mount for Burris III
Only 4 stars for now as I have not actually take the part out to the range for test fire as of this writing. As the previous writer stated "dissatisfied with the fit of the dovetail mount. Was provided (2x) dovetail mounting options: 1 for the Cougar and 1 for the 92/98 mount." I too have a 92 and found that the 92/98 dovetail adapter was way to small. The "Cougar" one was a little better fit. I am not sure where the other writer's Beretta was made at, but perhaps the 92/98 adapter will fit the American built Beretta, and the Cougar one will fit the Italian made version. Either way, it seems as if there is an adapter available for your 92. Very well made part, fit and finish are excellent, contains two set of screws (2 long and 2 short), lock washers, and tool to install the screws. All you need to do is push out the sight that came with the pistol (be sure you are pushing it out right to left when viewing it from the back side) and push / tap in the adaptor, set the base on top of the slide and screw it down. I topped it off with a Burris Fast Fire III from the same seller. Will update this post under my review of the Burris Fast Fire 3 after I have gone to the range and tested everything out.

Not for the timid, but I'm not a pro.. just do it.
I was very worried about buying for my M9A1 after reading horror stories in reviews, but I jumped in and didnt have a problem persay. The dovetail inserts the mount comes with do not fit as snugly as the factory rear sight, but it does fit. I used the bigger of the two that came in the package. It tapped in easily and when you place the plate on top, it draws the insert upward and wedges it into place. Very solid although it seels strange that it's not machine perfect fitment. If in doubt, take to gunsmith or try something new yourself and learn. Perhaps a little thread locker for side to side movement, but when torqued down, it's really wedged in there good with very little doubt that it will move. Feels very solid. You will have to tighten screws down slowly making sure you get the plate to sit as level as possible on the top of the receiver. Just do it. Make yourself proud!

Fit perfectly with a very small amount of refitting.
Great so far. It has been on my Beretta 92 for about six months and has functioned as expected. It is holding a Burris Fastfire II. It took a very small amount of work with a small flat file to get a perfect fit. Better that way. Too small not have been good. I fit it to be very snug with a wood hammer installation. Excellent. .Good product.

Fast and accurate
I like, hell, I love this FastFire III. I have put several boxes through my Beretta M9 since I installed this, and I find it to be much quicker on target and quite accurate. I have this on my daily carry gun.

The 92S will need some fitting
The scope mount is high quality, and the fit is perfect...BUT, Burris did not provide a slide-in dovetail mount to fit the older Beretta 92S. The mount came with a dovetail piece that was .050 too fat, and an even wider one which has "COUGAR" stamped on the flat. I paid a gunsmith to modify and fit the components, and drill and tap a third hole to match the front hole in the mount. The finished product is a solid and very accurate scope/mount.

Dont try to put this on a 9mm Stoeger (Beretta) Cougar
This arrived with no documentaion at all. I asked Burris for an instruction sheet for Fastfire 3 installation on a Stoeger (Beretta) 9mm Cougar with mount 420324 as it was advertised to fit. It doesn't.... It will go atop the slide but pulling the trigger is impossible. The pocket carved in the mount to accommodate the pistol part that protrudes from the slide when the trigger is pulled is not long enough. Mine is now, after opening up the pocket with an end mill. Never got an installation guide or heard a peep from them. If you are up to remachineing this or drilling a clearance hole thru it you might like it anyway....

Fits Beretta Cougar
Another reviewer said it didn't fit his Stoeger Cougar, but I decided to try it on my Italian Beretta Cougar 8045. It fits just fine. It locked down tight using the 92 dovetail block. Now I've got a Burris Fastfire 3 mounted to replace my dimming Trijicon iron sights that are 15-20 years old.

Good unfortunately didnt keep though
This is .mostly initial review as I didnt keep. The reason being i have a lot of RMSC optics but I thought all that was available was this Burris/doctor optics plate. When I found the toni systems plate for my 92 I went that direction. This feels good and sturdy and if you already only have doctor/footprint optics it is nice. It is also lower than a previous plate j had so that is a plus. And it is cheaper than the trillion plate (once again only if your have doctor/ade footprint optics
