CS-IC83 8” 3-Way In Ceiling Home Theater Speaker System (White, 5 Speakers)

These speakers sound incredible! Finding a 3 way speaker is hard, especially at an affordable price for sure. My only complaint is getting the speaker grilles installed is a little bit of a pain and it took longer to get them installed than installing the speakers to the ceiling. I used a hand drywall saw to cut out the circles, which was easy. I attached a clear sheet like the sheets you use on the floor for painting to the ceiling becsuse drywall dust gets everywhere. Then i used a shopvac to clean up the dust and a wet rag to wipe up what the shopvac left behind. I've had high end distributed audio and visual systems before and these really are fantastic. I'm going to buy another set for other zones in my house. The 8 inch woofer is great for mid bass and even a little low end, such as higher bass frequencies, but for low end you do need a subwoofer. I'm running a dedicated sub and I couldn't be happier with the quality and affordability. I also bought the 8 inch outdoor rock speakers and those are phenomenal as well. They are sold under I believe audio acoustic and not the goldwood name if I remember correctly.

I installed them in the ceiling and I was very happy with the outcome of sound and look. The installation was easy. I saved $700 I was quoted to install them. My Sony receiver STR-615, a top of the line back in 1998, is still doing a wonderful job with these new speakers. It is very hard to find the sound quality at this price. I highly recommend them. Update after one year of use: extremely happy with this purchase. The sound quality of these speakers is great and the price is unbeatable.

I gave them 5 Stars for 1 reason, they sound REALLY good for the price... no, my bad, they sound WAY better for the price point. I bought 20 speakers for in-house music on my new build, and I'm VERY happy. The installer was skeptical, but came around when he heard them. He had to admit they sounded just as good as speakers selling for $300 to $400 a pair, you know the brands. Get them... enjoy them, and keep you wallet happy :)

I bought these in May 2023 after closing on my home. I bought 2 sets. Installed 4 in the main room, 4 in the master bedroom and 2 in the master bath. I have to say, they sound AMAZING!!!!! I have owned Bose, Klipsh, Infinity among other speakers. These have a fantastic sound Due to them being 3-way, they put out pretty good bass on their own without a subwoofer as is the case for the bathroom speakers If you know how to install yourself and are not afraid to cut into your ceiling and make a bit of a mess while installing, not a difficult DIY. You will not be disappointed!!!

Just finished installing them. I went from an older pair of Bose 301’s to (4) celling speakers. I’m using the setup for ambient background music. I’m pushing them with a 15-year-old Yamaha receiver. From an overall sound quality over (2) Bose speakers is a vast improvement. I have a 2-story house with about 16” gap between the floors, so once installed they sound good! Pro’s: Cost effective (I went with the 5-pack of speakers. I’m using 4, keeping one on hand in case one fails in the future.) Cons: Just like everyone else here, the front grills need to be redesigned! They are over difficulted to work with! As for removing the grills, I ended up using a tiny nail and worked it around the edge slowly prying the grill off. As for reinstalling? There’s no easy way to get them back on! I had one that I fought with for 15 min! I ended using a pair of tin-snips and made a small cut on the edge to take some pressure off the edge as to slide it back on. I would have given it a 5-Star review, but the grill issue needs to be addressed. Overall I’m very happy with them. For the price

These speakers are excellent! Initially I was planning on buying some Polk Audio ones which would have been a significant amount more but I decided I didn’t want to wait and save so I got these instead, and I’m quite happy with them. I had no problem installing them, the included template makes it quite easy. Tip- make you know which way your ceiling trusses run and cut towards them first in case you need to adjust the placement. The sound quality is very good, even at levels that make it somewhat uncomfortable to hear there is minimal distortion. When I have it cranked up I can easily hear it 20-30 ft outside of my house. I have them connected to a Sony STR-DH790. As far as value is concerned, these are probably the best bang you can get for your buck.

I thought that for the money I paid, these would be a little shoddy....NOT the case at all. They are well made, easy to install and sound excellent. The front screens are a pain in the neck to get back on when the speaker is mounted, but patience will prevail. Honestly, these are really good. I'm thrilled to pieces. Such good value for money.

Don’t be fooled by the price!! These speakers are awesome!!! Excellent sound. Comparable or better than known brands. Do not hesitate to buy. Excellent service by seller. One speaker broken during shipping but replaced without hesitation.
