Love this cookie cutter
This is a sturdy, pretty and comfortable-to-use snowflake cookie cutter. It's what I've come to expect from Wilton products. It's well worth the price.

Lovely shape to this snowflake
I have quite a few snowflake cookie cutters - most of them end up looking weird once the cookie is cut and baked. Either too pointy looking, or imbalanced, etc. This Wilton cutter however is a really nice snowflake shape. It doesn't have skinny tips nor too elaborate details, which can make the cut out dough hard to transfer to the baking sheet. The silicone grip is very nice to use, cookie cutting can't be any easier. One downside to this cutter (and the rest of the Comfort Grip line) is that is makes a really large cookie. This is fine for party giveaways or other times when you want to give a big cookie away, but for eating at home - these cookies are quite big. It would be nice if Wilton made more Comfort Grip cutters at 2/3 the size of their current line. Another negative, and this is true for any snowflake cutter, this thing is a pain to clean compared to simple cookie shapes. But still, it's a great cookie cutter.

Great addition to the Kitchen
As Disney's 'Frozen' is the hot movie of the year, so are 'Frozen' themed birthday parties. We decided to let the kids frost and decorate snowflake cookies. We used a basic sugar cookie recipe that I'll post at the end of the review that was thick, ever so slightly crisp on the outside and chewy on the inside. My 3 year old and 5 year old loved pressing the cookie cutter into the dough and they made nearly perfect snowflake cookies each time. I kept a small bowl of flour on the side and dipped the cutter into the flour before each press and that helped release the dough easier. Try to keep your dough thickness consistent to make the perfect snowflake cookie. Even if it's not consistent, it still works very well. Cleanup was a breeze and I look forward to making more in the future. This is the recipe I used...just remember that you need to give yourself time to chill the dough: 1½ cups butter, softened 2 cups white sugar 4 eggs 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 5 cups all-purpose flour 2 teaspoons baking powder 1 teaspoon salt Directions 1) In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until smooth. Beat in eggs and vanilla. 2) In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Add to butter mixture. 3) Cover, and chill dough for at least one hour (or overnight). 4) Preheat oven to 400 degrees F 5) Roll out dough on floured surface 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick. Cut into shapes with any cookie cutter. Place cookies 1 inch apart on ungreased cookie sheets. 6) Bake 6 to 8 minutes in preheated oven. Cool completely.

Nice, large cutter
I liked the size the best because I like to make large cookies, and these were large! Easy to use and clean. Don’t think it will rust.

Love this cookie cutter, enjoyed decorating snowflake sugar cookies
Love this cookie cutter with roll-out sugar cookies. I'm a novice cookie baker but was proud of my first attempt. This cutter gave me fun sugar cookies to decorate, dough separated from cutter very nicely. I like metal better than plastic... this one is metal. I've noticed that Wilton's cookie cutters are large but this seemed like a perfect size, not too large and not too small. I used royal icing. This will be one of my go-to cookie cutters for the holidays and perhaps over the winter. The pictures are of baked cookies awaiting icing and a finished snowflake.
