Great price, fit like original, come with bushings -- be cautious of the front eye bolt.
IMPORTANT: This is not a difficult job, just unbolt and replace --- however, if you intend to change these in your backyard with a 3/8 drive socket set and some jack stands you are probably setting yourself up for a very bad time. After 20 years in the rust belt none this stuff wants to turn without some advanced tools and methods. Of special concern is the front eye bolt: 1) The nut is welded to the inside of the frame with no access. If you break the bolt or strip the nut now the fun begins. 2) The eye bushing sleeve rusts to the bolt, see item 1) above for the consequences. I cut the old spring eye and bushing outer sleeve off, then cut away the bushing (a Rockwell Sonicrafter, zoomed through the rubber in seconds) and then used an air chisel to peel the sleeve away from the bolt. With all that gone then i could use the torch to heat the nut. So don't even think about reusing that bolt once you get it out, replace it! Springs are heavy, shipping is expensive. With free shipping these are an unbeatable deal. The box was destroyed, turns out a cardboard box with a wad or two of packing paper was no match for 2 leaf springs, they would have been better off to tape them together and put the label right on the springs -- no matter, springs are tough and arrived undamaged. These came with the bushings front and rear which was a plus. I also purchased new shackles, u-bolts and front bolts and recommend you do the same. Lifted the back of the Jeep more than 3" at the wheel arch and got rid of all that clunking and creaking, in addition to the old springs being flat both of the front spring eyes were broken. Great deal, just assess your resources before you begin.

Very nice quality springs
I installed these on my Cherokee. The quality looks very good. The paint on the springs looks pretty good, but I still put on another coat of paint for extra measure. The bushings come installed, and I can't speak to the quality of the rubber, but they fit the car fine. One does squeak a bit now, but it's an old cherokee and you can't hear the squeaks at any road speed above 5mph. (It could also be one of the new shackle bushings) These springs appear to be of the "Up Country" specs because I got at least a 2 inch lift over my stock, worn out springs. They've been on for a month and it only settled less than a half inch or so. It sits higher than it ever did; it looks like it has a mild lift. (I'm tempted to put in a 1 inch spacer lift on the front.) The ride is very comfy, not harsh or stiff at all. I'm very pleased with these amazing springs. As a side note, I had the common problem of having the original bushings frozen to the bolts. Instead of the brute force method of cutting the bolts, I did the brute force removal of the springs by cutting the spring eyes in two, then slicing the bushing shell with a cut off grinder, then cutting the rubber off, then heating and opening up the split bushing tube (they are split tubes; easy to remove at this point). It can be done, and then you can re-use your bolts, and not have to drill and tap the threaded holes in the body. More work but less hacking of the unibody. UPDATE: 6 months later and I can say the springs have not sagged after the first couple weeks. I ended up putting in a 3/4 inch spacer lift in the front coils (very easy job) and now the Cherokee sits level. Very happy.

... giving these 5 stars for what they are - good quality for the price
I'm giving these 5 stars for what they are - good quality for the price! You CAN get higher end springs, but if you just want normal stock height and a good value, these are a top choice for sure. Direct fit. Have a 2001 XJ and its old stock springs were about as low as they get. Bought these, the Dorman shackles, u-bolts, and front eyelet bolts - everything new except the mounting plate. Everything was a direct fit and great value. I have not had them on long, but it sounds like they retain their height after settling just a bit from being brand new. The ride is solid and comfortable, but not what I'd call stiff at all, and I haven't heard any squeaking so far. Also, my Jeep feels like.... a Jeep again! Stoked. Very happy with the quality vs price - I specifically avoided the Crown equivalent because too many folks said they flatten out quickly. There are also not a ton of choices that aren't for a lift, otherwise I might have gone with Old Man Emu. My front end was actually right around stock height of 17.5" from center of wheel to bottom of flares, and is now closer to 18 with the new rear suspension relieving some of the strain on the front. The rear was about 2" low and is now around an inch high, for a total gain of about 3", but they should settle a little bit over time. To echo other reviews, these are NOT for a lift, they just return to brand-new stock height, or possibly a little more for a while. My ride wasn't actually too bad before (my shocks were good at least) but is that much better now, and it also looks a lot nicer.

Fit great. Does lift rear but settles out a little bit.
Fit was good for a 2001 jeep Cherokee XJ. They seem to be good quality. My only complaint is how much it raised the rear initially. I understand that old springs have sag and when you put new ones on they don’t. This is different temporarily it lifts the back. It has settled down a little bit after a couple weeks but just be ready for that.

Heavy Duty Towing Springs, Work Great
EDIT: 2024 - It's been many years since I posted this review. I recently purchased another Cherokee which needed some work. I purchased these springs again, and they are great. Just like last time, I added a couple of spacers to the front springs (3/4") to even out the ride. Original review: I feel like a bit of an idiot, because I ordered these under the assumption that they were a direct replacement for the springs on my 2001 XJ Sport. However, these are actually heavy duty springs for the Up Country trim package, as well as those with a towing package. After installing them, I was reluctant to spend another day swapping them with the correct springs (not to mention the stress of returning such oversized items), so I opted to keep them. It's fine, though; I grew to like them a lot and actually prefer them over the softer, lower sitting OEM springs That said, the springs are a direct fit and work great. They are very stiff and the ride is obviously affected by this. They reduce the body roll on turns, and also translate every little bump and crevice on the road directly into the seat of your pants. Oh, and they raise the rear end 1.5" over stock, so if you are swapping these into a Jeep that was not formerly equipped as such, then you'll probably want to put coil spacers under the front springs to compensate. Otherwise the windshield will be nearly perpendicular to the road, and it will look stupid as all hell. Trust me on that. I ordered a couple hockey pucks from Rough Country and the Jeep looks great now. Has a modest 1.5-1.75" lift and sits handsomely on the road. I highly recommend these springs. They work great.

perfect on a 96 cherokee! A few useful pointers in this review too.
I got a 96 cherokee and like many others on stock leaf springs, they were sagging significantly. With a crew of four and a bit of gear in the back it would bottom out on the fender alot, even on the highway. These fit perfectly in and brought up the ride height that not only lifted the back to a normal looking height, but relieved some of the pressure off the front and raised it a bit as well. Great $200 spent to improve the handling and weight capacity versus old, stock springs. As far as installing them, it is truly a pain in the ass but with some patience it will get done. Took me about 5 hours. I did it all with hand tools. Alot of the other reviews in here were helpful too. Lots of problem solving trying to figure out how to get them into place. I removed the rear sway bar while I was at it. Do yourself a favor and hit the main bolts with PB blaster about two weeks out, every day, to make removing the bolts easier and avoid snapping a bolt head which would turn this project into an absolute disaster. I live on the big island of hawaii, a place where everything seems to rust slowly back into the island, and I had no problems with stuck bolts, primarily because of using PB blaster beforehand. Tools I found useful: -breaker bar with a two foot extension - a smaller ratchet - a small bottle jack for fine positioning the leaf springs once you get em in their correct places, useful too with raising or lowering the axle. - Jack stands of course and block the front tires. - 13/16" sockets, one normal and one deep. you will need both of these for the rear bolts that attach to the shackle and only one for the fromlnt that screws into the chasis. Same socket works for the rear shackle mounts. - 3/4" seemed to work for the four bolts that hold the u bolt in place form axle. - hammer is essential to have too. - crow bar or something used for prying. Good luck!

Fantastic
Replaced my worn out stock leafs with these heavy duty springs. I was skeptical they would make a difference but needed to do something so I went ahead and ordered 2. Breaking the old ones loose wasn’t terrible, make sure to soak old bolts PB Blaster for a couple days prior and have a good breaker bar and extension handy. Installation was perfect. Can tell a huge difference in how the jeep handles and the stance. I’m sure they’ll settle over the next few months but I’m super impressed with these springs. Great value and better than stock.

One year later still setting good, good fit, good ride. If you tow or haul alot get an add a leaf
PRO TIP: if you have squeaky leaf springs buy yourself some motorcycle chain wax. It sprays on and penetrates good but will dry so not to attract dirt. It will lube your pack eliminating squeaks and protect from rusting! try and do this with axle drooped so springs are flexed apart for maximum results! I installed these to add a little lift and get rid of the "sag" that most XJs have. I also added Moog heavy duty coils up front. First things first, if your rig is rusty do yourself a favor and buy new eye bolts. Next Beg borrow or steal...ok maybe not steal but try to get ahold of a torch maybe rent?. It will cut instillation time down to minutes rather than hours.... seriously it will. As a professional who has changed probably hundreds of springs in my life it will make your life so much easier, its called a hotwrench for a reason. I ended up getting almost 2" of lift between the Dorman rears and the Moog front coils. The difference was very noticeable. I did not want a big lift just enough to clear 30x9.5 tires maybe 31s and not ride like a 2x4 on rollerscate wheels. These do just fine. Picture shows with 31s, there is minor fender rub on the front at max turn with stock wheels. The bad, well if you are going to tow with your rig or you have alot of gear in your rig at all times then you may want something a little beefier, these do sag a little under heavy load. I guess thats the trade off, comfortable ride or max ground clearance. In my case this was my daily driver with minimal gear in it daily and the ride was nice so I am happy.

Absolute Garbage
I bought these because the reviews were decent but after I installed these in my Cherokee XJ then took my family for a ride. When we got back the leaf springs had totally flattened out. As in just a horizontal bunch of metal. Now a week later it still hasn’t come back up. If you plan to have anything other than yourself in the jeep you should get something else.
