This is not designed for cigar or cigarette smoke, so don't buy it for that. There are plenty of options for that and definitely don't leave a bad review if you don't understand the function of something you bought. I went from a ghetto solution with a 12V computer fan in a custom 3d printed case to this bad boy. This sucker (pun intended) works so much better than that previous ghetto configuration. I can now solder lead and lead free solder without worrying about inhaling dangerous fumes. It's much larger than it looks like in the picture! I didn't look at the dimensions and based on the price and the photos I saw I thought it would be much smaller. This thing is industrial! Definitely 5 stars and I would encourage anyone to buy it for it's intended purpose of extracting solder fumes.

Works as expected. Good suction for cigarette smoke next to active smoker. Very quiet. Came with three carbon filters, easy to install. Only improvement recommendation would be a on/off switch in the electric cord for easier access. Simular devices for half the cost,with equal reviews.

I’ve ordered a couple different versions of fume extractors, and this one seems to be the best for the price. The fan noise is relatively low, it’s no different than a computer running. Suction is good, picks up really well up close and pretty good from 8 to 12 inches out. Comes with some pretty good filters. The frame is a little bulky, but it’s a solid construction. It’s a couple bucks more than I’d like it to be, but overall it’s a good buy.

I am a smoker. This helps me keep my house from getting that stuffy smoke smell. I would recommend 10/10

I got this fan because of another pyrographer in a YouTube video. It works well if you keep it close to the working area you're burning. The filters help to catch the fumes but I would recommend working in a well ventilated space, or at least facing a window. It does make some noise and it seems to blow out the filtered air in different directions. Another recommendation is to wear a mask. It's not foolproof.

Does take proper positioning to work best, but does what its supposed to do. Enables wife to do her wood burning hobby indoors.

It clears the air beautifully love it

I bought this mainly for cigarette smoke extraction. While the flow seemed a bit low it actually works really well. I do smoke near it. Not too noisy and very compact.
