IG13-20EL Magnetic Fluorescent Ballast, 1-Lamp, T8 F20T8, 20W, 120V

The light on my fish tank stopped working. When replacing the bulb didn't work, I figured the ballast must have blown. This was an exact replacement for the old one, was easy to replace, and once again the light on my fish tank is working. FYI, while the model number is identical, the length and position of the wires was different. On this one the set of red and blue wires come out of the same side, while on my old one the red came out one side and the blue out the other. The length of the wires were long enough that they still reached, so it didn't really make a difference. I probably could have cut the excess wire, but I just coiled it up and tucked it inside the housing.

This was a replacement ballast for a fish tank hood. A new hood was like $75. Figured since I got switches that worked I may as well try replacing the ballast this time. It was easy enought to install. Works well. Saved a ton of money over a new hood. Recommend to anyone

Replaced on my fishtank, quick simple and done. Way less than $200 to replace the hood.

Bought one of these ballast to replace one that failed in my fishtank. It lasted about 3 years and 2 months, but over the past few weeks, its been failing to ignite the bulb on most occasions. A hair over 3 years isn't terrible, but I wish it would last a little longer. At this point it just seems like a consumable for my fish tank light. Im purchasing a 2nd one to replace my first failed one, and will probably follow up again in another few years.
