Morton System Saver 30,000 Grain Water Softener

I'm electrician, traded work for install by quality plumber. "Cost was equal". Fedex girl dropped off at back door. Priceless.

Don't waste your money. The float got stuck, the top leaked, the water was still hard, and couldn't get a hold of the company.

Had to call for replacemnt part. seems to work now. Customer service is excellent!

I purchased mine at Sam's Club a couple years ago. This was ok for maybe two years and then the control board went out. The boards are not available anywhere except through Morton and they gouge you for the part and the shipping. I paid 330.00 for the softener and the board which is 3"x 4" cost 147.00 + tax and 18.00 to ship. After looking into this failure it appears it is caused by salt corrosion eating up the board. I can be remedied by spraying the board with clear paint or sealer. Apparently this doesn't happen at the factory. If it did, they wouldn't be making the big bucks on the replacement parts.

Works great...bought to replace our system we had problems with and this system was quick setup with easy to understand instructions.

Two units failed, tanks cracked at the exact same spot, was operating at 78psi pressure, max states 125 in their manual and tank markings, flooded the garage TWICE, would not pay for water damage or even insurance deductible! Need to be recalled by FTC!!!

I bought this one from Costco and it was a breeze to install. That is if by breeze one is referring to Hurricane Matthew!!! Oh my Christ!! Just hire a frickin' plumber and save yourself the worst case of mental hemorrhoids you've ever had!!!
