Melting chocolate
I purchased this chocolate to melt to make peanut butter balls and maple balls. I will also be using white chocolate and will dip some of the peanut butter balls in white chocolate.

Old chocolate do NOT buy
In 1975 I began making candy with candy melts. Seasonally, I sold about 500 Lbs per year. I used chocolate from a company that was within an hours drive of my home and went straight to the factory. I couldn't get better or fresher chocolate. I stopped selling in 2000 and only made orders for special occasions like weddings and showers. I began buying chocolate in retail stores. Always fresh, easy to melt, and work with. I was in a hurry and went to my go to Amazon to get chocolate to make something for a neighbor. The chocolate had a white film and the kiss of death the product was old. I began to melt, like I've done thousands of times, and ended up with a mess. Not one to give up, I put it in a lollipop mold for the grandkids. As soon as it set and I took a bite, it tasted like old chocolate. In the trash it went.

Did not Melt as Expected
I have been melting chocolate for years, this is the first time I had trouble with melting the wafers. I made sure to follow the instructions on the bag as this was a new brand. The first try with melting, it clumped together. On the second try, the same thing happened. I could not get the chocolate to melt.The results was disappointing and a waste of time and money. I ended up purchasing another brand at my local craft store and had 100% success.
