Exactly what I needed
This is the perfect item for those who are now stuck with newer phones that have done away with the 3.5mm jack. Just plug the usb c into your phone and the mic canoe into the earphone output and your phone is ready for content creation. Only downside is that you are unable to charge the phone while using this adapter.

Works wonders
This has worked great for me on my win11 laptop with only usb-c ports. Thanks!

Works, but you need to watch out for a pitfall!
I ordered this USB-C connector so that I could hook my USB Microphone up to my Pixel 6 Pro. However, I don't need the audio out of it, I just need to record into it. However, when I just connected the 3.5mm into the microphone jack, the Pixel refused to accept the USB Microphone. I was ready to create an angry "this doesn't work" review, but then I plugged in a cable into the 3.5mm Output jack and it started recording! The included 3.5mm Male to Female connector that you get *seems* useless, but when it is plugged into the Output 3.5mm, the 3.5mm Input jack works. The sound is just fine, no noticeable pop or issues with that. Its a little USB-C Dongle for those devices that need the USB-C to 3.5mm Jack. It works, just watch out for the fact that it won't allow you to record without the output!

Great replacement for the stock mic in a Vive Pro.
So the Vive Pro has these two mics, one for ambient noise cancellation and one for voice... They are both pointed at your nostrils so you sound like Darth Vader without his inhaler in VR. SOME people have mic issues with their VR that causes them not to be heard, something with the built in mics and the HDMI/USB connection adress they are given I guess. Either way, this is a quick and easy fix for both those problems, just plug it into the USB-C in the headset, velcro it to the side, and pop a gaming headset mic into the mic port on the unit, and you're good to go. IT WORKS AWESOME, the audio quality is better since you can use a decent condenser mic on it, or a nice gaming headset mic, and you can position the mic where it has the best chance of picking up voice and not breathing (your friends will thank you) (I know my cable is routed weird, but there is a kink in it and i don't want it to break a connection) But yeah, this thing is awesome and if you ever need a sound card for a device that has a messed up internal sound card, OR none at all that has a USB-C connection, this is a great choice. And for the price, you can't go wrong! AND on top of all that, if you are buying it for your Vive Pro, it matches ^O^

Tutorial for Lav mic users
FOR THOSE TRYING TO GET THEIR LAVALIER MIC TO WORK ON ANDROID, READ THIS PLEASE. I use a Godox M2 Virso, but a lot of this tutorial can be applied to many other lav mics. To get your lav mic to work properly, plug in the cubilux mic/headphone splitter into your phones C port FIRST. THEN plug in the BLACK END of the RED TRRS CABLE into the HEADPHONE PORT of the receiver. Then plug the GREY END into the TRRS to TRS adapter. Then plug the ADAPTER with EVERYTHING CONNECTED into the MIC JACK on the CUBILUX SPLITTER. "Complete action using bixby/google" should pop up. If it doesn't, you did something wrong. This will save you A LOT of hassle, especially if you think you did something wrong or you think you broke it when you actually didn't.

Not for MAC.
Appears to work well with Windows, but I needed it for Mac and that does not recognize the line in.

This little thing is exactly what I have been looking for
So I recently got myself some high (higher) quality headphones. Seinheiser HD6xx but hooking them up to my macbook and my iphone has been a bit of a pain. I searched for a way to connect a lav mic and my headphones simultaneously in a quick and dirty way. I have a Shitt dac/amp but its not like i can carry that with me everywhere I go. Sometimes I want to be able to use my awesome headphones without lugging around a dac/amp. (They still sound WAAAYYYYY better than anything else I have used up to this point.) I bought this version for my mac and then the lightning version for my iphone. Heres the BEST part. It came with an adapter for my lav mic. I did not expect that. I have had to buy the adapters from trrs to trs or whatever and all of them fail to make a good connection. In one small box I got a simple setup that worked perfectly

Crashes iPadOS apps that capture sound; not even recognized by iPhones
Incompatible with iPadPro 3rd Gen and 4th Gen. Crashes iPadOS apps that capture sound, such as FiLMiC Pro. If iPadOS recognizes the device at all, it crashes the iPadOS sound subsystem and causes errors in apps requiring full device reboot. Same types of compatibility problems as other cheap audio interfaces claiming full iPadOS and IOS compatibility. USB-C connector is too small compared to all others, so it is loose in the USB-socket. Very, very poorly engineered.

Beware of buying OnePlus
Doesn't work with OnePlus Nord. EDIT: It does seem to work. When it doesn't I think it's the phone's fault actually. Never buy a OnePlus!

Plug in and start recording
I have iPhone 15 pro and a Sennheiser XS wireless lavalier mic terminating on a 3.5mm jack, I previously had a working system on iPhone 13 using a Rode TRS to TRRS adapter and the Apple 3.5mm to lightning adapter. I tried Apples USB-C to Lightning adapter which I was assured would handle audio, it did not, iPhone just saw it as headphone plugged in. However this little unit worked a treat, I plug the 3.5mm TRS cable straight from the mic and iPhone 15 recognised it straight away as USB mic. Perfect!

A solution to working around a single combination "headphone out/mic in" jack
I have a mac mini which has a single combination mini jack for audio input and output. This device turns out to be a solution to wanting to record an instrument and monitor at the same time. It works well for me, but as far as durability- time will tell- just in case there is a problem it does come with a 12 month warranty.
