Just purchased to add to my small collection of fountain pens. I have pens by lamy, parker and cross. My new dryden pen is the cheapest in my collection but writes as well as any of them and looks and feels like a much more expensive pen. My colleague who also collects pens was quite amazed by the quality and will be asking for one from his children for fathers day! Great value for money with a converter included as well. My new favourite pen!

Very pleased with this pen. Comfortable to hold, nice-looking, and a good, consistent flow of ink. I would buy another for a present, etc.

Very elegant looking pen in black with gold trim and nib, nice weight and easy to fill from ink bottle, nib is a fine one. Writes beautifully, nib glides across the paper, feels comfortable when writing. Looks and feels a lot more expensive than the very reasonable price I paid. Would highly recommend Dryden and its a UK company.

Initial impressions is that it looks good, it has a nice weight to it, it definitely does not feel cheap and the face it comes with a standard piston converter for this price makes it incredibly good value from the start!! I have been using this pen for the last week non stop. Pros: 1. Writes well, quite wet I think, but really satisfying. I write with a fine nib and because the pen writes a little wet it feels almost like a medium. 2. Looks really smart 3. Feels good in the hand, feels like quality materials 4. The hooded nib means the ink stays wet for longer. I am using pelican black and sometimes carbon ink for medical notes and both work great and no issues with drying. 5. Because it’s a hooded nib you don’t gave to immerse the pen that far into the bottle of ink making it easier to refill when you don’t have that much ink left in the pot. 6. It comes with a converter!!! It’s a standard converter so don’t get upset when your Parker cartridges doesn’t fit (I see that a lot from plebs in reviews). But you can put Quink from a bottle into the converter if you prefer the quick dry ink. Cons 1. The weight at the back of the pen when writing with the hood is a lot since it doesn’t slide onto the pen much so the pen becomes much longer with extra weight at the back - it works fine but this is preference and I think might be a common preference. 2. The nib does have a sweat spot, which can get some getting used to, especially since it doesn’t have any easily distinguishable markings on the pen to use as a landmark. But fine once you are used to it. 3. I’m not sure it it’s because of the hood but I write quite fast and if I have been on a long-ish write of writing fast like writing in medical notes during a ward round I find that the ink filling the feed can sometimes fall behind so I need to give it one full twist on the converter just to catch up (it’s nice to be able to do that actually and reminds me how much ink I have left). But if you write like a normal person and legibly then this won’t be an issue at all. Overall I think it’s a really good pen, looks smart and is good value. It might not be for everyone but I think a lot of people will really like it.

As an experienced calligrapher, I was looking for a really good fountain ink pen. I found it with this very well designed pen, in, that not only takes ink cartridges, but includes a little device which allows you to draw up any coloured bottled ink you desire to use. I chose the black design and thought it looked very smart! but you do have to stick with it at first, as it can be a little blotchy, but the more you write the better it gets. Very satisfied with my purchase.

I love this pen and use it every day for notes and any writing I have to do. Definitely recommend

Le stylo est beau, c'est la seule qualité du produit. Il est cependant fragile et de piètre qualité. Au départ, le stylo plume fonctionnait bien pendant quelques mois avant de ne plus écrire. Il faut le forcer pour le relancer à chaque utilisation et j'ai tenté de le nettoyer en profondeur pour le déboucher (tremper dans de l'eau froide pendant 24h) mais sans succès. Les cartouches d'encre utilisées sont de bonnes qualités (waterman et pilot). Dommage.

Agréable au toucher, écriture extrêmement fine, c'est mon second achat et je ne compte pas m'arrêter là. Je ne sais pas comment ils arrivent à vendre à si bas prix un stylo d'une telle qualité. Je suis bluffé! J'adore, n'hésitez pas...

Faut s'habituer à la taille fine sinon le stylo est joli et fonctionnel. Est inclus une cartouche rechargeable dans un encore.
