This baby float can be used safely for pets under supervision of course; my pets love the water
The float held up all summer, their claws did not puncture tube, their legs fit comfortably into seat area, it did not tip over, I’m buying them again after my move; my pets love the water, this one was the best to fit their body frame; this was a 12x15 pool just the right size for the 3 of us; I also used baby life jackets, but I was always in the pool with them; the float was reliable for our pool needs; glad these floats are sturdy to allow pets to have fun too.

so again in better position to make natural swimming movements that actually result ...
I gifted my son and daughter-in-law with this Intex My Baby Float dual ring flotation device for their 7 1/2 month old son. Ours seems to be well-constructed, seams are strong, and is simple to strap baby in, and floats him steadily. Most swim rings are too large for babies under a year, but this one fits well. We've gone through several brands already before getting this one. Our grandson usually screams when put in one of the other float devices, usually because they're unsteady and tend to tip, but from the first few seconds in the Intex ring, he was more sturdily held in position, giving him confidence. Now he screams if we take him OUT of the pool. He immediately got the sense of kicking to swim, and I realized the Intex float allows the baby's legs to be positioned closer together, more naturally, so he was in the correct position to swim. Other floats hold the baby or child's legs too far apart. I also noticed the baby is positioned gently forward, not straight up, so again in better position to make natural swimming movements that actually result in normal movement through the water. As a mom of 3 grown kids, grandmother of two grandsons, and a registered nurse, I heartily recommend this baby float to others.

Great design and ease of use
I purchased this float for my son who had just turned 1 at the time. We had planned a trip to a resort in Mexico, and wanted to bring something with us that would allow him to enjoy the pools as much as we could. We had planned on merely leaving the device down there and not having to pack it for the way home. The packaging was simple form fitting plastic that encased the float. Very easy to blow up and maintained its shape and held it's air very well. The design was build to allow the child to grow with the float. It has an inner tube ring and an outer tube ring, both of which are connected with snaps. The inner ring houses a cross type seat for the legs to be put in allowing underage kids to float and relax. The design is such that it hold the child very evenly in the water without the fear of tipping over as many other floats have done. The outer ring can be used later in development allowing the child to swim freely with just ring (and floaties or vest, whatever you use) and swim around as a regular ring float. For the price I could not have passed up on this float for the trip and I was so pleased with the device that I actually did in fact pack it to bring home with us. He has used it many times since in our pool, however, a small tear has come in the inner tube where the seat connect to the inner ring. I have not patched it yet, but I am hoping that will take care of the leak and allow him to once again use it. All in all we are pleased with this purchase and would recommend it to parents of little ones. It stood up to wave pools, lazy rivers, and just regular swimming and it has been an ease to use and place our son in and out of.

Using for bath time, great, BUT...
The depth of the seat is so low, when we fill up the bath all the way, his chin is at water level. I wish the seat portion was not as deep. But, when we only have 4" of water in the tub, this makes giving a baby a bath soooooooo much easier, our backs hurt less because we don't have to constantly hold him. PLEASE NEVER walk away from a baby in water using this, it is not that safe, but it does give the baby's face something soft to bounce off of when his tummy muscles get tired or when he decides to throw himself after a toy without him getting a face full of water.

Cheap and so much fun
Great product, and for the price, you cant get a better deal. Our 9 1/2 month old son absolutely loved it. It was his first time in the pool and he was so comfortable in it as if he's been using this thing for months. If its fulled inflated , I don't see how the baby can tip over it, unless the baby is heavy. Our son is almost 26 pounds and it didn't seem like this thing was ever out of his control. There are four holes to pass his legs through the saddle, and if you use the front two holes, the baby will lean his chest over the front of the float, in perfect position to use his hands and feet to swim. We didn't try using the back holes as i felt that may tip the balance off a bit, but may be its meant to float on the back. I dunno, this thing didn't come with a manual (nor do i think it needs ones). One reviewer said it needs to be inflated before every use, though I wouldn't take a star off of it for that. All it needs is like 4-5 good puffs and thats a good test to check ur lung capacity. overall, a great product, definitely recommended. Everyone should buy this product as a tester before they buy any fancy $25+ stuff. and amazing shipping from amazon prime. Got it in just one day, considering July 4th was a holiday.

Too deep
I bought this as an extra float to have around when I have extra kids in my pool. My nephew is 12 months but wears 24 month clothes. The water almost went up to his chin. We had to keep our hands on him at all times. By the time he grows into this, he will pass the weight limit of 33 pounds. (I think he’s 25 right now.) It’s cheap, but don’t plan on it being for babies!

Excellent value and sturdy. My daughter is 2 and 35lbs and was floating around all week in Mexico in it no problem. She even walked in and out of the pool wearing it. Gave her lots of freedom to swim and splash on her own. Would be good for a younger and smaller baby as well.

our 8 month old LOVES this. Just make sure you get them in and used to the water first. Only "complaint" is minor. The straps at the bottom are just open "tube" witha hole in the bottom. SO you have to squeeze the water out that gets stuck, or when you deflate it/bring it inside water will drip randomly from it.
