Oxford Advanced Learner's Dictionary

It's the German version and so was a bit surprised when it came with German packaging but inside the Dictionary is the same as the English version and only about two pages and an instruction booklet are in German. I am happy at the price hack as I would have had to pay more.

If you want to deep your English understanding, just buy this dictionary! It explains everything, not only giving the definition of it. And the appendix is absolutely amazing! I wish to have this type of dictionary in my mother language (Portuguese)!

It is the best dictionary I've ever had. I can find all the details about the words that I look for and many explaination about their use.

We love using this Dictionary, it has clear words, explanations and simply a good layout.

When I searched "Oxford advance learner dictionary" it showed one cover book and I was informed that it has CD-ROM with book but when I clicked to choose this product the cover changed from the previous page. So, I don't know which is the real cover. Then, finally, I got the book without CD-ROM. It's a little bit disappointed.

Me ha llegado super rápido, he comprado muchas veces y cada vez Amazon me sorprende más. Este diccionario es genial, es monolingüe para que lo sepa quien no domine bien del todo el ingles. Es de nivel más avanzado, soy filóloga inglesa y considero que es perfecto, con explicaciones claras y buena cantidad de vocabulario. Recomiendo a todo aquel que necesite un diccionario avanzado de inglés que lo adquiera porque está muy bien.

Den Oxford habe ich sehr günstig erstanden und bin froh darüber weil ich eh Schülerin bin und ihn dringend brauche. Der Duden ist in sehr gutem Zustand nur das Cover hatte ein paar kleinere Knicke, was aber nicht schlimm ist. Der Duden wurde ja gebraucht verkauft und da kann das nun mal sein. Bin sehr froh über meinen Kauf und würde bei diesem Verkäufer jederzeit nochmals kaufen. Vielen Dank.

Pas cher, reçut rapidement (plus rapidement que mes bourses, L......O.......L) Je suis déjà bilingue et pourtant c'est super pratique quand on a un trou ou que l'on découvre un nouveau mot. C'est juste un peu gros pour rentrer dans la poche (mais quand on a pas le droit à internet ou au téléphone, c'est topissime!)

Too heavy!

Sono una studentessa universitaria di lingue e questo dizionario monolingua mi è stato davvero utile, sia durante i miei esami, sia per il semplice esercizio a casa. Moltissimi studenti del mio corso ne fanno un grande uso. Ben strutturato, con immagini esplicative e tavole a colori, si rivela chiaro e immediato. Contiene anche un utilissimo libricino con dei tutorial su come impostare una lettera, fare un riassunto, una recensione, un saggio breve e altro ancora. L'unica nota dolente, se proprio vogliamo trovarne una, sono la copertina e le pagine molto sottili, quindi bisogna stare attenti a sfogliarlo. Lo consiglio caldamente agli studenti. E' un aiuto eccezionale.
