Worked!
Only works on very small studs. Chances are you need the larger one, but if you broke the head off something small this can grab what’s left. You need several threads exposed to be able to grab as well as a fair amount of space around the stud for the tool and quite a bit of space above, but if you have all these it will definitely extract the broken bolt.

Worth every penny!
Worth it weight in gold. Used properly grabs and holds strong. Was able to remove numerous stripped studs with no problems. Fantastic tool!

Worked like a charm....
Excellent tool. Worked like a charm to extract 2 forty year old exhaust manifold studs (10mm dia,) on an aluminium motorcycle cylinder. Made in Taiwan, but seems to be fairly well built. I am looking around for other studs to pull out now just for fun ... :-) It basically looks like a chuck from a drill - but with some teeth to give it grip on the stud. I squirted a bit of WD40 on the stud first and let it sit for a bit. Then I used 2 wrenches to tighten it down on the stud (my stud had a non-threaded section in the middle - so it did not damage any threads). You will need a 36mm and a 24mm (or a 3/8 in drive - rachet handle for example) to tighten this puppy down. It states that it is suitable for "impact" wrench use, but I just used the wrenches and it worked fine. The key is to make sure its not slipping - so tighten it down good and make sure there is no debris on the teeth in the tool which will affect the grip (ie. metal scrapings from previous stud removal). The package states the tool can go down to 1/4 inch in diameter - but have not tested that yet. Definately worth the money - and proves the old saying that having the right tool for the job makes all the difference... Pro: - Decent quality and value - Solid build - Handles multiple diameters (adjustable) as indicated in description. Cons: - None - Clearance if you have a tight spot to work in (which was not my case).

This tool is to frágil..
This doesn’t work, I used mine and on the first time I tried to unscrew a broken stud the inside started to fall apart, springs and metal pieces, just a piece of garbage if you have a real broken stud this is not going to work look for a different option.

works great after a little adjusting
Took awhile to get it to work as no instructions on which nut to torque and use to turn. But it finally got my tractor broken off head brake bolt out after vise grips couldnt do it (tried several different ones). Clear instructions on best way to set this up to remove a damaged bolt with broken off head would be great

Amazing tool! Saved me over $200 dollars!
I had a bolt snap off on my intake manifold. I went from mechanic to mechanic asking them what I needed to do to get this out. Because of the location I had people telling me it would have to be drilled, I would need to weld a nut on it, etc. Everyone pretty much said I was SOL, and there was not a single tool to get the bolt out. When I asked them what they thought about this tool getting it out they laughed. I saw a few videos online and thought I would give it a shot. Before doing so I prepped the bolt with PB penetrating oil mixed with acetone. I figured the thickness of the oil combined with the age of the corrosion would not penetrate the surface, so I needed to delude it. Once I did a 50/50 mixture of the acetone and penetrating oil I sealed a deep well socket around the bolt and let it sit for a little over 2 days making sure the oil didn't leak out of the socket. I wanted to prepare the bolt the best I can while waiting on the tool to get in. When I first attempted to use the tool it started to turn, but I soon realized it was spinning on threads. The second time around I tightened the tool to the point it would tighten any more. I figured I had nothing to lose at this point, it was going to cost me 160 dollars to have my vehicle towed, and another 100+ to have the bolt removed. I carefully tried to turn the bolt with the tool, but the thing wouldn't budge. I put a bit more force on it and felt something shift. I couldn't tell if it was the bolt or the tool slipping again. Frustrated as it is I started to turn it again slowly. I saw a small gap between the tool and my intake manifold so I assumed the tool was working. I got a bit more aggressive with turning the bolt and sure enough, out it came. I was like a kid in the candy shop! Amazing tool, scared me a little bit, but an amazing tool! I attached some photos of my progress. The bolt was stuck in my 1978 corvette intake manifold that I have owned for 10 years. It has never had a radiator flush on it that I know of so it was due. This should give you and idea of the corrosion I was dealing with. Steel, aluminum, and water! What a nasty combination!

Small and mighty
I'm giving this 5 stars because it was the only tool out of three broken bolt extractors that worked in my confined space. I had a hard to reach bolt that broke when removing my trim motor on my outboard. The trim bracket sits very close to the bolt making it hard to reach and the motor tilted up is directly above the bolt making access even more difficult This tool was small enough and strong enough to help get the bolt removed. It saved me a lot of extra work. I definitely recommend this tool

I purchased this to remove turbo adapter exhaust studs from a 2017 F150 Ecoboost .. This tool is a MUST for this job, I used a 2 foot long 1/2” breaker bar with the extractor and worked like a charm.. Worth every penny ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Great product I would recommend for anyone trying to remove a broken exhaust bolt stuck in the head with five threads protruding. Unfortunately when I got the broken stud out, I tried releasing the stud from the extractor, the unit got jam and stuck and started to fall apart, the locking ring in the extractor started to pop out of the unit. I had to return the unit with the stud still in the extractor. Will rebuy extractor for broken exhaust manifold bolts.
