As a tactical baton instructor, I must say that this bag is absolutely perfect for my classes. Seems like it's gonna last a very long time too. I highly recommend this.

Worked for punching, but harder than expected. Handle placement not easy for 2 people to hold onto, while a 3rd person hits the bag.

ASP (Armament Systems and Procedures), Inc., has been around since the mid-70’s, developing training procedures and tactical equipment primarily aimed at the security and law enforcement community. While this training pad is designed for contact training with the baton in mind, it also makes a great striking/kicking shield. The pad is 20”x30-1/2” with a 5” thick dense foam pad covered in tough PU (polyurethane) synthetic leather. Since this pad is made to withstand full power strikes from a training baton, it’s very durable and will last a long time. I’ve always been impressed by the quality of products from this company. This target pad is no different and I wholly recommend it.

I use these at work for training, and I was hoping when I ordered that I would receive something of similar quality. I did!! This bag is thick enough to take a solid baton hit and not injure the person you are training with. The handles on the back allow you to switch holds for strikes from either direction, just as we train. They say you need to live and work as you train, and this allows me to do just that. I can maintain my training level, and that of my kids, at home and keep things more regular than the department training schedule. This is a must for anyone wanting to keep their skills sharp and their hits solid and exactly where you want them.
