I use this for my water kefir, the filter stops the grains from pouring into the bottles and if I empty the container completely it is easy to clean. Also perfect size to make 2 bottles of kefir at a time.

This fermentation bottle is excellent for water kefir - easy to use and cleaning is quick and seamless. Also it has very cute design ! Cannot wait to try it out for sprouting as well. Would recommend 100%!

Makes decanting and straining easy

I bought this to make milk kefir, the tall design does fit into my fridge. However the strainer/lid doesn't work very well for milk kefir, due to the milk protein clumps with the culture. The squeegee attachment also does not work. This may be better suited to water kefir. The price in my opinion is way too expensive.

Agree with one of the previous reviewers that the strainer is quite useless as some smaller grains would pass through. I have to use a sieve to strain out the kefir grain. However, apart from that, the straining spoon, the size of the glass bottle and the lid on top to keep it breathable are quite useful and convenient.

Love this! Making water kefir is so much easier with this - and bringing it with me when I travel is easier, no need to take a sieve everywhere!

This item is excellent for making kefir. However, it's overpriced considering it's just glass and plastic. It should come with some starter seeds.
