Great purifier at this price
Good air purifier with all the required features. It turns red if the AQI in the room is high, and orange if it is moderate. Blue means the air quality in the room is good. It has an auto night mode, which switches it to silent operation when the room lights are turned off at night.

A good purifier at a decent price
A very good air purifier with a washable pre filter and carbon filter.Design is okay. Easy to install .Noise level is surprisingly low and in night it automatically reduces fan speed if auto mode is selected. As for allergens I think it’s doing a decent job.Its a good value product overall. Plasmawave feature actually works and odour is drastically reduced.

Great Air Filter at affordable prices
This device definitely helped improve the air quality. I wish they had given the washable AOC carbon filter with this device since the next model has it. The device is silent at fan speeds up to 3 and audible beyond that. Some might think the sound is too high in fastest mode, but if you usually keep the device away from you, you will not hear it. The device has auto function which senses air quality and adjust the air flow. It also has a time that you can use to turn it off automatically at a set number of hours. The night mode turns off all the lights, so its useful when you are using this device while sleeping. The build quality of the device is pretty good. Overall, I am happy with this purchase.

Beast in end segment but…
5500-2: Cons: 1. They don’t have remote in Indian version and they don’t mention it 2. The sensor are not PM sensors. So auto mode won’t work as expected in Indian scenarios Pros: 1. Beast in the segment minus the tech, if you get this around 13-14k 2. Battle tested for 9-10 years in market 3. Has many third party replacements T810: I complained about fake t810 filter around 6 days ago. The filter didn’t have carbon inner layer and I have been calling them since then and they only said that the would call me back, but now they stopped picking my call and replying to my texts. Big red flag: The service is handled by one guy and one girl and they use a personal phone number. I’m not sure if this is a scam or something else :( My return window is still open if I don’t get the help I would return this product.

Arrived in a damanged box and sensor was malfunctioning
The packaging that this air purifier arrived in raised serious concerns (see the image attached). The air quality indicator is a gimmick, at least on my unit i could say that it was acting crazy, on auto mode, it would just turn red/amber on it's own even in a empty-closed room of 130sqft and the surrounding AQI is 130-140. Given not so harsh pollution and this air purifier (based on specs mentioned) being more than enough for the room size, this thing should've just stabilized after a while but it didn't. On top of this, it is a bit noisy, it almost sounds like a cheap exhaust fan on top speed. Lastly, I'd say don't fall for the plasmawave technology, it generates small amount of ozone which yes is a pollutant, the company might say it's negligible, the tradeoff is nice and works wonders to clean air but for me it's a clear no-no. At the end, I had to return this.

Best air purifier in this price range
If you are buying an air purifier for 14000rs definitely get this one. With 4 carbon filters that can be swapped out every 3 months it's way ahead of the competition in the price range. If you want the pellet type filter get the 5500-2. Which I also have. But either is fine. They work perfectly fine for a small room. And the air quality difference can be felt within minutes of it running.

I don't usually write reviews, but please, if you are buying this, it is LOUD. We wanted this in our room, but it is too load, even in sleep mode. There is basically no difference between sleep mode and low mode - they make the same amount of noise! However, it does clean the air quite well.

The seller is lying; this is advertised to come with a remote control, which is why I chose it, and there is no remote control included, and it cannot be connected to an app. BEWARE - Do not recommend buying this if you require remote operation.

Very well made and really works. The high fan speed settings is nothing really loud, I would compare that to the normal family house noise level with TV on and people talking. For more silenced mode you have fan speed 1 and 2.

I'm very happy with this air purifier. I have a cat and it visibly picks up a lot of hair, that must just be floating around in the air; hair that would normally go unnoticed. I started using a Levoit LV-PUR 131 machine a couple of years ago to remove the smell of vaped marijuana flower (prescribed medical). I love the smell myself, but I know how many don't, and I'm a considerate neighbour. I've had the Winix for 3 months now, and it is far superior to the Levoit model, which has now been demoted to hallway duties. I like the washable pre-filter, although I've not actually had to wash it yet. I find that a good going over with a vacuum once a week, to remove all the large debris, is enough. I vacuum the charcoal filter too. As I've said, my primary reason for using an air purifier was never to remove dust but this is a big bonus, and there is visibly less dust now. The sensor detects VOCs much better than smoke, and for anyone using it for smoke or weed should be aware of this. I just keep it on setting three most of the time, which works very well for cigarette smoke and marijuana vape. Setting 3 on the Winix is quieter than setting 1 on the Levoit. Setting 3 is my "go to" setting. It's really not noisy at all. For smoke, leaving it on "auto" doesn't work, but manually setting it to 3 does. The same is true of marijuana flower vape. The turbo mode (4th speed) is VERY loud but unnecessary for normal use. I occasionally give it a blast, just to clear the air quickly, and it's very effective for this. I have a large living room, and 10 minutes on turbo will just clear anything quickly. The one niggle I have is that when I want to leave it on, as I retire to bed, I have a practical choice of setting 3 for 4 hours, or turbo for an hour - the timer does 1, 4 or 8 hours. It would be more useful for my purposes, if I could choose 1, 2, and 4 hours. Ideally, I'd like to be able to leave it on setting 3 for 2 hours, but that's not possible. I leave the Plasmawave mode on because on or off, I don't notice any difference. People have talked about it making occasional snapping noises, but I've never heard anything. Unbranded filter sets are about 20 quid, so in practice, I change them every two months. Winix say the charcoal filter will last for a lot longer as it is washable, but TBH washing and drying is too much faff for me. Lastly... it LOOKS better than the Levoit, which has turned yellow from UV light, like many white/off-white plastics. I'm very happy with this Winix machine. From research and experience, I now think that it's probably the best in the UK home market, for smoke and vape. [Update: Aug 25] I'm still very happy with the performance. I've discovered that because I've been smoking rollies (tobacco) near the unit, a sticky film develops on the pre-filter. In fact, the surrounding black plastic is also sticky. I think it's nicotine. Anyway, I just laid the filter down in the bath, and went gently over it with some water and a little washing up liquid. This did the trick. Good as new. Another trick I've found is that the carbon filter is exactly half the depth of the Hepa filter, so it is possible to fit three carbon filters, and no Hepa filter. Of course, from the POV of smoke and vape removal, this is not, as one might think, three times the effectiveness, but rather 197% the smoke-reducing power (according to ChatGPT) - something to do with layer passing. That's still almost twice as effective. It doesn't get the fine dust through, that's just blown back into the room. I use this air purifier in the room where I smoke and vape. Just around the corner, in my hallway, I have another Winix with a Hepa filter. That one gets the dust.
