Absolutely Worth It! Reliable and Easy to Use!
I’ve been using the Fluke 101 Digital Multimeter for a few months now, and honestly, it’s been a total game-changer. It’s small, solid, and feels super well-built—typical Fluke quality. I use it mostly for checking voltage and continuity, and it’s spot on every single time. What I really love is how simple and fast it is to use. No complicated settings, no confusion—just turn the dial and go. The display is clear, the readings are stable, and the battery lasts forever. If you’re looking for a trustworthy multimeter for everyday electrical work or home projects, this is the one. It’s affordable, accurate, and built like a tank. Highly recommend it!

A really good basic multimeter
I am always impressed with Fluke's quality. This is a good basic DMM. This is my go-to when I do not want to take my more expensive ones out to work on equipment. The one thing I really like is that, unlike my other Flukes, it reads very low in the pF range. The tradeoff is it does not read as high, either, but since my others do, I can let that go. Also, it does not measure DC current. It feels durable as once would expect, takes normal AAA batteries and is very easy to use. It does not have a built-in stand and the leads are a little stiff, but, still, I give this high marks for its quality and usefulness.

Great inexpensive meter!
I've owned a Fluke 79 for over 20 years and often use high end Fluke meters in my job. I wanted to get a second meter to have handy in the garage. The 101 seemed like a good choice. I'm happy with my purchase. The meter is small, display is easy to read, it performs basic tasks well, and seems well made. I was considering the more expensive 107. Based on my experience with the 101 I would recommend against it. If you need more features spend a bit more and get one of the higher end meters instead. A few notes on the 101 based on other reviewers feedback and my experience with other fluke meters: * The 101 does not have the option to pick the range manually. * The "hold" function on the 101 just locks the display when the button is pushed.. I don't find the 101's manual hold useful. The higher end fluke meters have "auto hold" which locks a stable reading, much more useful. * The test leads are nothing special but they are fine. They are not silicone and hence not as flexible as the higher end leads. * The test lead jacks on my meter appear sturdy. Others mention them being loose. It was much more difficult to insert the leads all the way into my 101 than the other meters I've used. I could see where one might not insert the leads all the way and they would be attached but loose. * Higher end fluke meters typically are gray plastic with a yellow rubber surround. On the 101 the style is similar but the yellow is plastic, not rubber.

Fluke quality.
Great value! Needed a 2nd multimeter, and really prefer Fluke. This was a great option!

It's a Fluke.
The Fluke 101 is a very interesting meter. It has been in the realm of entry level EE lovers for some time now. The Fluke yellow, and name brand recognition hold a lot of weight with a meter this cheap. You might think they are skimping on features, and you'd be somewhat right. The 101 does not come with any current reading capabilities, that's for the near $100 price point of this line. This is purely a entry level meter that is useful for component testing and voltage measurements. Hopefully these meters will hold the Fluke test of time that allows them to hold their cal constants for years and not have to worry that a measurement is not what you think it is like other cheapo meters. I had the chance to calibrate my meter at my work and it was only a few count off max for any function. Pros: *Small form factor, easy to fit in pockets *Easy to read display *Dial is nice and smooth, and clicks are firm *Leads are good, nice tips for probing small connections. Cons: *No Current reading capability *No mV range (Only 6V, 60V, and 600V) *Input jacks are located on the bottom of the meter which some may find annoying FYI: *2x AAA batteries may leak after very long periods of time not in use. This is common with most batteries, so if you plan on not using yours for a while, make sure to take the batteries out to avoid this.

My First Fluke! The Fluke 101
After purchasing a few different brands of multimeters, I finally ordered my first Fluke. I also ordered a case for it. I call it my “Baby Fluke”! It’s a small meter. It is tiny compared to my Klein MM1000. It is light weight, but definitely not cheap feeling. The test leads that come with are decent, and they are responsive enough for the meter to easily beep when touching the ends together when doing a signal trace test. I usually test my multimeters with the trace beep and how fast it shows the voltage on a AAA battery. It’s fast with no overshoot. It doesn’t measure current, and I knew that ahead of time. I just wanted a small, reliable, and safe meter. I have large bench style and large handheld meters that are nice, but I wanted something smaller and easier to take to wherever that I needed for simple measurements. After watching a few YouTube videos showing people opening up the Fluke 101, I knew that this is a safe multimeter. It has robust fuses and blast shielding. One guy even threw 15,000 volts into it and it survived. That was enough to show me that I feel safe using this Fluke 101. This is the lowest price, smallest Fluke, and it is safe. You can purchase multimeters with a lot more features for the same price, but you will not be buying a meter anywhere as safe as this Fluke. If you’re looking for a small, simple, easy to use, and safe multimeter, then this Fluke 101 is perfect!

Very Handy!
Awesome Fluke quality, pocket portable package! I no longer need to lug one of my bigger meters around for small troubleshooting jobs. As the kids say, 10 outta 10 would recommend!

Dommage!
