Front Wheel Holder for 598, Black, Grooved Tire, Mountain Bike

This works perfectly - we have the newest version of the 598 bike carrier and the rear bracket broke. Without realising it was the rear bracket, I ordered this front wheel product...but it fitted and worked perfectly. Just to add, the picture is the 'newer' version. The older version arrived with us, but also fitted perfectly and we needed it asap so just went ahead and fitted it. There is another reviewer that has a picture up of what arrived. We also got that older version. The back wheel one is also more expensive, but this front wheel version works just as well. 980 motorway miles later and the bike remained solid on top of the bike rail.

Non si discute la qualità Thule, però non entravano nella grondaia, ma visto che sinceramente gli ho pagati poco, ho preferito tenerli ed adattarli, limando la plastica della parte inferiore, scorrono pochissimo, ma per la ruota anteriore vanno bene.

I have a couple older 598 roof bike racks, and all the parts show discontinued on Thule's support site. So I looked at the new 598 Proride and the main beam sure looks likes the same old aluminum extrusion. Guess what: it is. So the tire saddles from the new one fits perfectly on the old one. My old 598s are repaired and good to go. This is the second time I've ordered some saddles and the rest of the rack soldiers on. It was cheaper to order from the UK than from Thule in the US ... But they cleared customs before The Orange One tariffed everything. No idea what they'll go for now.

Use as replacement for broken part. Rubber wheel protection is sold separately and expensive, cheaper to use old inner tube for this task.
