Malden International Designs Black 9 Opening Collage Photo Frame

I’ve been looking for a long time for a collage frame that had a cute family saying in the center. I’ve struggled finding anything but I figured this would work because I could add my own saying in the center frame. Not exactly the quality I was looking for because the framing is all plastic but it works. Probably not something I would give as a gift just based on the quality of it but once it’s up in the wall it looks great. Since it’s plastic I was also very concerned it would break in transit but it was well packaged. I still felt I had to be a little more cautious with it while handling it due to the nature of it being plastic. I would guarantee if it ever fell off the wall for whatever reason, there’s no way this piece would come out unbroken. But overall cute and fit the bill. I was looking to pay $30 - $40 for a collage frame but glad this one was under $30 because I don’t think it’s worth anymore than that based on quality alone.

My boyfriend and I go to the beach a lot. During all those trips we've gotten some great photos of sunsets, shells, waves, etc. We've also seen sand sculpture contests and I decided for Christmas I would get this frame and fill it with pictures of all of our various outings together. The frame was great. It was a very nice solid black frame, no scratches or nicks. The packaging on it was fantastic with sticky bubble wrap, covered by regular bubble wrap, held on with packing tape all around the entire frame. There are many thumb levers to hold the frame in place at top, bottom, all four sides and throughout the middle of the frame so that none of the pictures can slip out. In addition, the frame has mounting bracks on both the horizontal side and the vertical side so that you can hang it in either direction. I loved the 5x7 frame in the middle with plenty of 4x6 frames around it and a couple of 4x4. I bought a paper cutter so that I could cut the smaller pictures straight, but you could also take the cardboard insert out and draw around the edges of it and just use scissors as well. The final product, once put together with all the photos, looked fantastic and once hanging on the wall it was beautiful. In fact, I loved his so much I'm going to buy another couple of frames and make myself an identical one and then another one with pictures from my travels.

It looks very nice! Has the appearance of wood from far away but is a light plastic. I tried putting an 8x10 in the middle so that I wouldn't have to use the white border, but it didn't fit and so I had to use a 5x7, which looked just fine. For the price it is worth it. The back is all one piece, so you can't change out individual pictures w/out removing the whole backing, but there is a walled off pocket for each picture, so they sit nicely and evenly.

My son asked for pictures for his new house. This was a perfect frame for them!

Got this and spray painted it white for pictures of one of the children's weddings. Too bad the groom didn't last as long as the frame.

The first one I bought had real glass, and it was wonderful so I bought it again. Second purchase was a crappy acrylic. So a bit disappointed that it wasn’t the exact same item even though I ordered the same exact thing. Just beware that quality varies on this frame.

I previously had a gray one with a letterboard center after my granddaughter was born almost 2 years ago. We remodeled our living room last fall and when the frame was put back up after xmas, the lettering had fallen out while stored in a closet during the remodel. I found this black set to give me the same number/sizes of little frames as my previous one and inserted the letterboard I had in the center with the clear cover it came with on this one to keep the lettering intact. Also this one came with little slats to keep the pictures aligned (my previous one I had to tape in place) and it also came with styrofoam pieces for the back in individual spots to keep the pictures pressed against the clear covers underneath the one piece backing. Highly recommend, it even looks better than the previous gray frame I’ve had.

After I read the reviews I almost did not buy this. I'm glad I ignored them. This is made of a solid, black molded plastic, but that makes it light enough to hang easily. The glass is real glass. I followed the advice of another review and did NOT throw out the styrofoam pieces that go behind the photos. You will need them to keep the photos in their respective holes. Some people had a hard time getting the photos in place. I thought it was extremely easy to work with. I paid $23 Amazon Prime. I am satisfied with the quality for the price. It hangs near other regular 8x10 black frames and I do not think it looks cheap or I would have sent it back. It arrived packaged very snugly and in perfect condition. Very important: The 5x7 opening takes a 6X9 pic without the mat.

Needed a frame in a pinch for mom's birthday. Found this one first, shopped around, this was still the best one after visiting multiple stores. I really liked the layout and it was sturdy enough to handle the shipping just fine. The price was also nice. Mom loved it, cried when we gave it to her. I'm thinking about buying it for myself, tbh.

Poor quality. Not worth for the price. The frame is not steady. Very shaky.

Love the format! It's plastic though, not the best quality but you can't tell unless you touch it
