My mom received a nightlight from a friend years ago which finally died (the switch broke). I couldn't find another exact light to replace it. Then a lightbulb went off (pun intended). I wondered if I could find the "light" part of the nightlight and just remove the shade from the existing one. I took a chance on this one. When it arrived, it didn't fit. But, my husband was able to file down some of the hard plastic that was holding up the shade from fitting and viola...it worked perfectly! Plus, I ordered a black light which made better sense for the shade. Mom is a very happy camper!!

My other salt rock night light holders broke after many years so I got these as replacements but I had kept the salt rock part. I assembled them and plugged them in to test it. They seemed way brighter than usual but okay. When I touched the rock about 30 minutes later it was extremely hot, so hot I had to use a towel to take it off. I was concerned the rubber holder had melted. I came and read some reviews about some that burned up or broke. After looking closer, I discovered the bulb is a 15W bulb. This is WAY TOO HOT for a tiny salt rock holder. Promptly replace the bulb with a 4W night light and problem solved! They work great and I no longer have to worry about them burning up. That's the only reason for the 4 stars or it would have been 5.

We live in a house that has no recessed (or otherwise) lighting in the living room so bought this base to plug in behind our coffee machine in the kitchen. As it has a switch on it to turn it off and on we placed a smart bulb (an e12 bulb) in it so it is connected to our wifi and we can turn it on from our phones or have it on the same switch as all of our living room/kitchen lamps.We took a long time trying to find something that would plug in and light without having a big shade/attachment to it and have been very pleased with this one. It does what it was intended too, and for the price has been well worth the purchase.

This worked for about a week and then just stopped. I cleaned the contact points, I tried different bulbs. Sometimes the light would be on for a minute and then something was cutting it out. Became a huge PITA so I decided to throw it away. You get what you pay for. Would suggest going with something else!

This base replaced the broken one which I have been using for over six year. I was delighted when I plugged it in, and had my night light back again. I am very happy with this item, and recommend it either as a replacement piece for a broken one, or the base for a new nightlight.

I use these for some of my night lights when needed. They are of good quality.

This night light base literally saved an expensive, $40.00 years ago, Christmas bubble light Santa.I couldn’t find another full body bubble Santa night light anywhere. Not even from the original manufacturer. The night light base burned out. I’ve had the light for years. I found this night light base on Amazon and knew it would work.My children loved the light and now grandchildren love the Santa nightlight too. Small price paid to save a sentimental Christmas nightlight.
