Great Sony to canon fd adapter
Great way to make use of Canon fd glass on a new Sony camera. Allows for open aperture while focusing and closing for the exposure. Works with any lens with Canon fd mount. Construction is good so there is no movement between camera and lens. Simply mount like any Sony lens and attach the fd or fl lens.

Works like a charm
I purchase these over time and kept them on the Canon lenses. They fit just right and mate to the Sony body perfectly. No surprises, no disappointments. Great to reuse the vintage lens collection and save a ton of money at the same time.

Fantastic adapter with quick aperture stop down option
This is a great adapter that allows me to use a Canon FD 50/1.4 lens with my Sony a7s. Use the mechanism of your Canon FD lens to attach the lens to the adapter and make sure that the aperture/diaphragm control pin lines up appropriately with the mechanism for adjusting it on this adapter (it will feel like it has the correct "click" in when you do that and will easily mount). Once attached and placed on your camera, this adapter along with the Canon FD aperture open/closed feature allow you to focus wide open and then immediately close down to your desired f-stop using the "Lock <==> Open" ring on the adapter. That is a fantastic option to have for a manual focus lens and really assists with precisely positioning the focus point and with focusing in low light if you want to shoot stopped down. This feature alone, which I believe is unique to FD mount lenses, is a good reason to give preference to using FD lenses with the Sony a7 series. (My 35-70 zoom, however, is right now a Minolta, but this feature makes me think about using Canons also excellent 35-70 FD zoom). My first copy of this did have a significant amount of "play/wiggle" and eventually came undone. I should have contacted the seller (HiShop) immediately. I ended up contacting them via the "question about return" policy option *after* the return period had expired. They graciously replaced my adapter with a new one that works great and has no wiggle. I am very pleased with the product.

Very well built, but inaccurate infinity focus.
This adapter was my latest in my quest to find an FD to E adapter that will truly focus to infinity. I have tried lots of different brands. All of them will focus to infinity with a lens 50mm or longer. Wide angle lenses are another story. I finally found one that worked with most lenses in the Fotasy PRO series. They are fine down to a 20mm lens. A 17mm lens is an issue for them. I bought several and some would just barely do it and some would just barely miss. I want one adapter per lens so I needed several. I wanted to KNOW it was right, so I tried this one. Let me start by saying the K&F adapter is the best built adapter I've tried. It fits the lens and camera perfectly. The aperture control is super smooth. When on a lens it feels as if it's an integral part of the lens itself. But can it hit infinity? The answer is yes, but with a slight problem. It goes past infinity by quite a bit. When the lens is properly focused on an object about 100ft away (which for the 17mm is pretty much infinity) the distance scale on the lens shows a touch over 10ft. It's not a lens issue as I have two of them they both show the same result. This could make using hyperfocal techniques difficult. But, it can focus to infinity so it's the one that is mounted on a 17mm at the moment. In conclusion, if you don't use the distance scale on your lens for anything this is the adapter to buy. It's decently priced, very well made, and will hit infinity with any lens. If you set your focus by using hyperfocal distance, then get the Fotasy Pro for anything 20mm or more.

Exceptional adapters that focus to infinity with my Sony a6000...
Part 1 - Minolta MD to Sony NEX adapter Technically, it slightly overshoots infinity but the issue is easily corrected by dialing back the focus ring just a tad --- Not exact but clearly better than not-at-all. Although very light due to extensive aluminum usage, the build quality and fit-and-finish of the adapter is superb. Connections on the lens and camera mount sides are tight and precise --- absolutely, zero slop. The top of the lens release button is flattened making the lens removal process very easy and comfortable. Other notes: - There are no electrical connections so focus and zoom must be done manually on the lens itself - When mounting the lens, turn the adapter clockwise till you hear a "click" - Tested with a Minolta 85mm f/1.7 Rokkor-X MD lens mounted to a Sony a6000 camera ----------------------- Part 2 - Nikon Ai to Sony NEX adapter Edit: Based on my positive experience with the Minolta MD adapter, I also purchased the Nikon Ai adapter later. As with the Minolta MD adapter, the Nikon Ai version focuses beyond infinity a tiny bit. Fortunately, the same solution applies - dial back the focus ring and the horizon will become crystal clear. The build quality is impeccable and the finish is smooth and clean of burrs or machine marks. Connections on both sides are taut and precise with zero play. Additional notes for Nikon Ai adapter: - No electrical connections present so focus and zoom must be done manually on the lens. - Unlike the Minolta MD adapter, mounting the lens for Nikon adapter requires a counter-clockwise turn until you hear the "click" of the locking mechanism - Tested with a Nikon Micro Nikkor 55m f/2.8 Ai-S MF lens mounted to a Sony a6000 camera

Weird lens? Get this adapter!
Works great with Mamiya Sekor 135mm f2.8 with the pin on the aperture ring. Clears the pin unlike some other adaptors. Threads are very nicely machined and fits right onto my a6000 without any movement.

Saludos

I bought this to use my canon lenses on my Sony A6000. The adapter fits securely and is well built. If feels solid and durable. My EFS 55-250 lens works well. But the autofocus did not work well. The lens autofocus works, gets a good focus then the camera changes it and it’s out of focus. There is a menu setting to compensate for this. But my lens wasn’t supported. So I manually focus using the Sony manual focus aid. This is easy to use and works great, even at the maximum focal length. So this adapter is very useful. A new life to old lenses.

I’ve been using this adapter with my retro manual lenses on my Sony A7Siii, and it works perfectly. Feels solid, fits snugly, and makes shooting with vintage glass a joy. Simple, reliable, and exactly what I needed to bring my old lenses back to life!

Good quality mount adapter. Well engineered metal construction with a fine finish. Looks great on the camera. Came in a sturdy plastic box with bubble wrap. Photos taken with the adapter have been excellent.
