Perfect replacement with longer wire
This was a perfect replacement batter for my old Dell E6430. It has a longer wire which worked out just fine. So far so good. I measured battery voltage before install and it was approx 3.3V. I'm glad that these are still available for old laptops!

Very easy to install and works 👍
My computer suddenly died and wouldn't even properly boot into the BIOS. I was terrified that my computer finally died — it's an older 2017 Inspiron 15 gaming model. I have changed the HDD to an SSD and it's breathed new life into it, but it’s still old and at risk of succumbing to its age. When I looked up the blinking LED that is in front of the computer's base and what the pattern indicated, it turned out to be the CMOS battery failing. I decided it was better than nothing to attempt to replace it and see if that was the real issue. It was. Unfortunately, there was an issue with the BIOS not booting Windows correctly, but that was not because of this battery, but due to the fact that the battery before it had died and ruined the prexisting settings. Installing this battery was a breeze. I had no issues with the process, and the battery fit in the clip my laptop has just fine. I recommend this.

For Latitude E6420: Worked. Used scissors to trim some of the corners off, but no complaints.
I'll change review if there's anything different over time. I doubt I'll get 13 years like I got out of the original, but whatever; CMOS batteries are just always hit and miss no matter what. On the Latitude E6420 you'll have to trim some of the corners off. Out of clinical paranoia, I'd suggest leaving some of it behind like I did, but there's plenty of room in the location to firmly fit the thing if you cut maybe half of each corner off, which is easy. Piece of cake.
