this is a re-release of 1959 model. no engine and little detail, but it builds into a promo style car and captures the look of the actual car.

Pro: This series is the most accurate representation of the Petty kit car available. Con: it is 1970s tooling, with the accompanying level of difficulty. Not for a beginner.

The AMT Plymouth Valiant Scamp is a relatively simple kit that actually offers a good amount of detail right out of the box. Given its race car format there are also opportunities to add more detail effects to add to your car. For mine, I added seatbelts, driver protective net, and engine wiring. Note that this is NOT a 2-in-1 kit; it only builds as the race car. The kit features a detailed engine, suspension, and driver area. Both hood and trunk lid are removable to display further detail. Although the tires are not pad-printed the lettering is raised and distinct making it rather easy to highlight the tire logos with white paint. Overall fit and accuracy of the parts was good and there were no major issues with assembly. In my kit - and I say mine because I don't know if it's a generalized problem - some of my roll cage pieces were warped, requiring some extra effort on the cage fit and alignment. for that reason I rated four stars rather than five. This model is representative of the models produced in the 60's and 70's but with modern tooling. Note, this is a "curbside" formally called a "style side" meaning there is no engine. I used to not be interested in kits without engines, but... due to costs, the manufacturers are forced to do this more and more. I'd rather have a good looking new kit without the engine than no kit at all. Interesting note, on the front cover of the monthly magazine from International Plastic Model Society (IMPS, a well respected national modeling club with hundreds of car model chapters across the US) featured a beautiful model which was a "Curbside") the owner stated that it took over a year to build as he did many customizations. But, if you are a purest, and want a kit with a motor, then this is not the kit for you. The level of detail on the body and other parts is extremely good. There are multiple different customizing options for you to choose from. I like it so much I am going to order another one so I can build a hard top and a convertible in my collection. (Yes, you can build it out of the box as a convertible or simply glue on the roof for a hard top. Bravo Round2, they nailed this one!

昔、親がヴァリアントを乗っててどうしてもプラモ(市販車)が欲しかったのですが、販売が無かったのでレース仕様を購入しました。 工夫次第で市販車に変更できるのでレース仕様を購入しましたが、市販車仕様で飾ってます。 海外製(細部の作りや曲がり有り)ってだけはありますが、これも削ったり伸ばしたり曲げたりして基本の形になるので、中〜上級者向けです。 (初級者の方には難しいと思います)

数少ないクライスラー インペリアルのプラモデルです。 本当は1961年型が欲しいところですが1959年型でも大変満足です。 リアテールフィンの大型化可能な点。 コンチネンタル・タイヤ（continental tire）を模した膨らみが再現できるトランク。 是非 一度アメリカンクラッシックカーを作ってみてはいかがですか？
