Clear explanation followed by short tests and exercises written in colourful interesting ways cover, as the title indicates, grammar, punctuation and spelling. Grammar - word types, clause/phrases, conjunction/prepositions, linking ideas, verb tenses, standard and non-standard English. Punctuation - sentence punctuation, commas, brackets/dashes, apostrophes, inverted commas, paragraphs/layout. Spelling - prefixes, word endings and suffixes, confusing words, mixed spelling practice. ANSWERS In the hands of adults who can ensure English is regarded as a living, vital language in which we express our thoughts (but with rules) it should be of benefit and fun to any children of KS2. Handled with care, it will be of great help.
