Royal Canin Feline Health Nutrition Indoor 7+ Mature Dry Cat Food, 2.5 lb Bag

Best dry food in my opinion. My girl, a former street girl, will only eat dry food. She loves this and it helps to maintain her healthy weight and maintain her energy. Because the food is highly nutritious with no additives, her litter box is not full with the junk from other brands, nor is it smelly.

This is a fantastic cat food at an amazing price. It's over $10 cheaper than the same size bag at the big box pet stores. My 14-year-old long hair cat had been dealing with hairballs every week or so and a dull coat, so I switched from an indoor formula food to a mature hairball food by another popular leading brand that most vets feed. After 3 months, my old guy was still barfing at least 3-4 times a month. His coat did get a little softer, but the hairballs were the main issue so I started looking for another food. I decided on this one and couldn't be happier! Bodhi seems to enjoy the taste, and my 3-year-old Maine Coon really likes it, too. After a week to transition, they've been eating it exclusively for about 6 weeks. In that time, Bodhi has had two hairballs but none in the last 3 weeks! I just noticed this morning how silky and shiny his coat is! Also, he's been more playful and running through the house chasing my younger cat. The litter boxes are tucked away in a corner of each bathroom, and I've been nearby when they have used them. The smell of their feces is minimal and they're small and firm. To me, this means there is less filler and junk in this food and that they are absorbing it well. Both of my cats seem happy and healthy which makes me a happy cat mom! My younger Maine Coon's coat is naturally a bit greasy and used to mat up really bad, but that has improved somewhat, too. She also had flakiness on her spine near her tail, and that's gotten much better. All in all, this may seem like a lot of money for cat food, but I'll gladly pay it for the real improvements I've seen in both of my cats!

Temojin loves this stuff. He eats soft food as well, but hes always got a bowl of the dry and he purrs when he eats it. Hes a 28lb Main Coon, and hes not fat. Hes just huge. Apparently its very good eatablity because he eats it. He thinks its worth the money.

My cat just turned 8, and we switched to mature cat food about a year ago. He is extremely picky—no wet food (except an occasional Churu), no human food, and he won’t touch most other dry foods. Royal Canin has been the one consistent exception. This is the only dry food he eats without hesitation, and it’s been that way for years. Aside from a few freeze-dried chicken bits as treats, this is basically all he wants. So far, he has no health issues (knock on wood). He’s still very active and honestly looks more like a 1- or 2-year-old than a senior cat. I can’t say for sure that the food is the reason for his good health, but I do believe it plays a part—and that gives me peace of mind. If you have a picky older cat, this has been a reliable, no-stress choice for us. I’m very happy with it.

I bought a small bag of this Royal Canin product on January 10th after researching dry cat food that helped prevent vomiting. I had been using Fancy Feast Gold for years. It's now January 25th and my 2 cats haven't vomited once, and they actually like it. The food is small with just the right amount of crunch, and when they go number 2 it no longer smells like "nuclear testing." Well worth the extra cost, plus they come in resealable bags.

My senior cat really loves Royal Canin. I have tried many other brands, but this is the one he prefers. Please be more careful when packing the food next time, as it was cut open and now my cat has to wait a few more days for his food to arrive.

Transitioning to 7+ years and so far she likes this even though the pellets are a lot smaller than the spay and neuter size. She’s happy so I’m good with that.
