Royal Giant Heavy Duty Vegetable Chopper, Dynamic Food Processor with Stainless-Steel Shredders

I wish it had a hopper that you put food chunks into and push the food down with a tool not pushing with your fingertips. Then you could go faster. The way this is set up, you have to be careful to keep fingertips out of the way— don’t go too fast or let the food slip. Once the food is smaller you have to carefully switch to using the gray plastic flap to hold the food in place to get all of it processed. I bought this in order to make very thin slices which this does very well. (My electric food processor only makes medium and thick slices.) The quality is excellent and sturdy. The rubber suction cups hold on tightly to the counter yet are easy to lift off when finished. Cleans quickly. I could not find a high quality model like this that had a hopper. Maybe someday.

This is a wonderful product, well built, easy to clean, and a time saver. I use it practically every day and if and when the electricity goes off this product saves the day. I have a Cuisinart with the disks, a Kitchen Aid vegitable shredder and a mini chopper but this product beats them all as it is so easy to clean and does a great job making coleslaw.

If you're looking for a veggie chopper that resembles the Saladmaster, this Royal Giant vegetable chopper is it. Not only does it look like the Saladmaster, it performs like it too. The Royal Giant chopper is sturdy, beautiful and easy to clean, almost down right fun to use. I'm so glad I didn't let the "one bad review" deter me from buying it. I love fruits and vegetables, but hate all the time it takes prepping them, but with this machine, no more excuses. No more letting fruits and vegetables go to waste because I'm to lazy and, or too tired to chop and cut them up. I chopped this zucchini in less then a minute. I know now it's going to save me lots of money by keeping me out of those high price restaurants and unhealthy fast food lines because this chopper has me so pumped to want to cook at home by saving me time in the kitchen.

It slices, it dices it chops…..just like the old commercial says. Cuts quickly and cleanly. Sturdy is an understatement. It’s just tough as can be. Cleans up so easily. Just wash it under hot water and disinfectant. Dry it off and put it back up. The rotary cutters attach and detach so quickly and easily. Suction cups on the legs hold like a giant squid 🦑. Legs are wide enough for a large bowl to be placed under the cutter and between the feet of the stand. Great product…

Perfect for a home kitchen, but a couple of things.. THE NEGATIVES: If you are the type of person who gets careless you could take a chunk of your knuckle or finger off with this thing. Nothing is sliced very thick, so don’t expect this. Some have complained in the reviews that the shredding cones will not stay connected. All of mine do but there is no tactile feedback when it snaps into place. Probably leading me to try to use more force than is necessary to make sure the cone in in place.. there is no good place to grip the cones while you’re trying to connect them (I’ve almost cut my fingers once or twice). THE POSITIVE: I love the stand, I love how the top pops off to make cleaning easier and to break it down for storage if you wanted to do that. I think the selection of cones is just about right for what is expected of this Roto shredder thing (from hard cheese to cabbage two potato chips). I like how I don’t have to cut anything up to fit exactly in a little plastic chute (if a vegetable or something is larger, I can cut it down to size while shredding it). After using it it becomes pretty obvious when the vegetable is getting smaller, that it’s time to flip the little plastic feeder to finish it off. The little plastic thing does seem like something that could easily get broken, but if it were metal it might be a safety hazard.. I am a knife and cutting board kind of person, because I find the cleanup for most gadgets is more trouble than it’s worth.. I like that this thing is less work than those plastic electric food processors, so I end up using this instead of packing it away somewhere forever..

I received the 1970s version as a bonus gift. It made all the moves and performed very well. The suction cup dried up and i looked for a replacement since 2015. I bought this and have been very surprised. I did not expect the improvements and stability. This is like a quiet sous chef.

I was hoping to use this to shred cabbage but it doesnt have a hopper to put the vegetables in so it therefore makes a huge mess and does a poor job of shredding leafy vegetables like cabbage. It however does a fair job of making hash browns because potatoes are very firm. I dont recommend this for this high price.

I love this thing to shred potatoes for hashbrowns and to shred blocks of cheese for my green chili chicken enchiladas! I had a different brand very similiar to this that was stolen from me, so when I finally saw this one online, ordered it and so glad I did!! It comes in real handy for me, a bit pricey, but perfect for my use, very happy with this purchase!!
