I really like this door lock set! I had ordered another one that just did not fit my door but when this one arrived, I knew it would work and it did! The quality is really nice and since I ordered it in the option of not shiny, it looks very expensive!

Our similar-style Callan handle from 2015 bit the dust after 9 years. This budget-priced one fits our immediate needs and hopefully we can get a handful of years or more out of it. As other reviews have stated, replacing this one slightly more often may still put you money ahead...especially as manufacturing quality for just about everything is lower these days than pre-2020. The build quality seems pretty good but it's lighter (more like aluminum than steel). than our old name-brand one and the posts have more give in them. For example, accidentally dropped during install and had to slightly bend back one of the top screw guides on the outer side of the handle. If replacing an existing handle, you may need to drill a new bottom hole like I did. It measures approximately 8.25 inches from the top screws to the bottom screw. My old handle was 8 inches. I didn't replace the deadbolt to avoid rekeying. The door strike plate is nice and helped fill a gap as our door has settled and you could see daylight in the bottom right as it no longer rested tight against the weather stripping with our old strike plate.

I bought this lockset to replace the one I had that was peeling off and looked dated. I love the look of this new lockset and it matched perfectly on the holes already made for the previous lockset. It was very easy to assemble although instructions were a little confusing. Yet, once installed it works very well. At the big depots, locksets were over $100 so I gave this one a try, although I was initially skeptical of the low price. However, I'm impressed by the feel and quality for the price range. I hope it lasts like my previous one. So far, I'd say it's worth the try.

These door handles are really good, nice finish and easy to install, I installed it about 7 months ago and still looking like new, a very good option if you don't want to spend +$100 dollars at the hardware store, highly recommend it.

I'm not real sure how long door Handles are supposed to last, but after 5 years,b this one is no longer functional. You need the hands of a thumb wresting championb to open it. Yes, hands as in plural. It's not opening with one. And then once youve effective burst 10,000 calories and lost 5 lbs to open it, you have to play with it even more to make sure it fully releases to fully closing the door rather than wondering why your house is 50 degrees and you realize the doors been wide open for an undetermined time. So yeah...for 5 years it's ok I guess - guess you in and out of the house until it doesn't. But then I'm no expert on knob quality or lifespan either...

A year later and she's still GOING STRONG! The finish is still great. Honestly worth it for something you're gonna be yanking on multiple times a day! It's a SOLID little door handle with just enough style, but not TOO much style that the robbers will think there are antiques inside!

Be careful forcing the thumb lever. Can snap if you are too rough on it.
