These filters are amazing and work excellent long lasting, but are rather expensive. I prefer these filters over the aftermarket filters for the quality.

IQ Air is one of two air purifier brands, I am aware of, that pay extra attention to removing harmful gases (smog). In other words, purifiers with filters that contain over five pounds of charcoal. It is unique and awesome that you can just change the charcoal, not having to change the filter set because they come together as one filter. This carbon filter is very helpful, my lungs say, in reducing indoor air pollution. For years I worried about particles, later to realize I was missing the big picture. This Brand Name filter is a value and worth the cost. IQ Air filter running cost is very low compared to other purifiers. Over time, it is not an expensive purifier.

I love IQAir filtration system. I have two units for over 2 years now. I really should have not bought this filter yet as I have about 200 hours remaining on the high setting but oh well... What I am trying to say is that these filters last a long time and they perform very nicely. I have a big open area in my house (dining, living, kitchen... an open floor plan) and two filters at max barely help to remove odors (after cooking for example) but they do the job. I can come home and see that my wife has fried some tortillas to make some enchiladas, and the air will be all cloudy due to the smoke. After an hour or so with both filters on high, the air is clean and free of odors/smoke. For the rooms, they work wonders. If I am removing the carpet (creating dust), doing deep cleaning (for my son with allergy) or trying to remove cooking odors, one of this filters in medium will do wonders. The V5-Cell removes the odors very well.

The product is fantastic. I recommend buying it directly from the supplier rather than allowing the order to be fulfilled by Amazon. This particular product needs to be handled carefully. There was lots of black suit and spilled bits of carbon. The filter is usable after getting me very dirty, cleaning it up.

Every year I order multiple different filters for the 3 IQ HealthPro Plus air filter machines that we have in our pet-filled home. We love the performance of our IQ machines and choose to use the IQ replacement filters and not a generic. Each machine has 3 different types of filters. I order all filters through Amazon since I get the name brand and reliable delivery.

We originally bought an IQAIR purifier because we were staying in an apartment that was previously occupied but people who smoked- we are not smokers and wanted to get rid of any lingering odors. We were amazed at how well this purifier removed lingering odors!! The V5 filter is phenomenal and works hard to keep the house smelling fresh and lovely. We get compliments on how good our house smells whenever we have guests and I'm convinced its our IQAir purifier. It's expensive but well worth it, we believe.

I bought one to replace the filter in my IQAir unit after the replacement indicator came on following several years of service at low fan speed. The first filter worked great, and I am confident this one will too. My only complaint is that this unit consists primarily of activated carbon in a cardboard box. There's a tiny amount of alumina based potassium permanganate mixed in. The high cost simply isn't justified by the components of this filter. I have for a long time used activated charcoal pellets in my home-made ventilation filter. Several pounds of the pellets can be purchased at a pet supply store or here on Amazon for less than ten dollars. The pellets are the same ones that are in this V5 filter, and unlike the IQ Air's HEPA particulate filter, the charcoal works even when a lot of air bypasses the filter. It works by absorption, not mechanical filtration. That's why a box of activated carbon pellets (or less effective Baking Soda) works to absorb odors if you just put it in your refrigerator without any complicated sealed air handling process. I pass my home's ventilation intake air through a few pounds of carbon pellets sandwiched between two furnace filters -- that's essentially what this V5 is doing. For ventilation air, the carbon works well to remove ozone (which is what becomes of smog after it's been hanging around in the atmosphere for a while). I live downwind of California and its pollution is mostly ozone when it reaches my house several hundred miles from the urban areas. As an indoor filter, the V5 works to filter/absorb indoor pollutants and odors quite well, but it's limited by the low flow rates of the IQ Air due to the intense noise of the fan at anything but level 1.

Not sure whether is it genuine. Product received were in bad shape and look pretty worn out. Seem like use before and they re-package and re-sell.

These are original IQAir carbon filters that remove odors. Works very well and lasts a long time (months and months). Air purification is just part of my operating costs...
