Outstanding scope for the money.
Right from the time you start unboxing it, you know you bought a quality scope. Solid box and well packaged. This is a beautiful, fully functioning scope that hands down beats other scopes in this price range. I purchased this particular scope after lots of research- mainly quality and durability. I mounted it on my Crossman F4 Nitro Piston break barrel .177 pellet gun. Mounted nicely. I removed the scope from the base to first mount the base and ensure the stop pin is properly engaged. The base has 4 mount screws (not 3 as per the description) making for a more solid and secure mount. The scope sits perfectly in the base. I torqued the mount screws to 30 inch pounds and the scope caps to 18 inch pounds and used blue loctite on all 12 screws. The parallax adjustment is great for clearly seeing the crosshairs at different distances. Lowest setting is 10 yds but you can go much lower than that and right up to infinity. I target shoot in my basement with my pellet gun and I'm shooting at 13 yards. Primarily just to practice and keep in good form. Sight picture is clean and crisp. Lenses are are nice and clear even in low light conditions. The main reason I purchased this scope is it's ability to handle the double recoil of a nitro piston air rifle. The scope holds zero well and hasn't come loose or lost it's zero after over 100 rounds. Looking forward to getting out on the range and shooting at greater distances. I would definitely recommend this scope to anyone looking for a quality air rifle scope that won't break the bank. In my honest opinion, Hammers knocked it out of the park with this scope. 5 stars all day long...

Very high value scope Excellent Quality
I have to say this scope is far nicer than many scopes I have at twice the price. There are so many high quality features to this scope where do I start? The windage and elevation knobs are great. You don't have to spin the caps off every time you want to adjust. The lens caps are quality. The dial movements are rock solid and smooth. It adjusts for focus in front and the rear (closest to eye) also adjusts making it easy to get a extremely clear sight picture, much better than many other scopes I own. I've used this on my Crosman Phantom with a single piece mount for over 100 shots now. The scope is hitting dead on and has not lost its zero, not at all. No issues with the double recoil of the spring air gun. Has a single slide stop screw and is just rock solid. Just a very high quality scope. I can't believe its only 50 bucks! Today I bought my second because at this price you won't find a scope that compares, and I figure a review is in order at this point as well. Look this is the best scope I've ever seen for this price. Just buy it. You will wish you had bought one sooner. I wish Hammers made a long eye relief scope for a Mosin, at this level of quality, I'd buy three. PS this scope is airgun rated, but you can used it on a high recoil rifle just as well due to its shock resistance and sturdy design.

Great features. Well built.
This is an initial "out of the box" review. Reserving 1 star for the future range review. Disclaimer: I am not affiliated with Hammers Optics. I purchased this scope to replace the pitiful one that came on my Gamo Big Cat 1300 Nitro Piston. In this review, I will address some of the "concerns" others seem to have had with this product. The scope arrived well packaged in a better than average box. First, to put things in perspective, consider what the scope is not. It's not a multi-hundred dollar Hawke or Leupold. It's a sub $60.00 scope. That said, what you get is really impressive. The build quality of this product is very impressive. The scope is heavy. Something needed for the unique shock/recoil characteristics of magnum spring piston air rifles. The optics are quite good. Very good clarity. The mil-dot reticle focuses perfectly. Same for the AO and zoom. The objective, ocular, and power ring all move very smooth and are quite snug preventing unintentional movement. I'll review the windage and elevation adjustments at the range. Addressing some other reviewer's comments/concerns: Some have noted that the single piece mount engagement rails seems too rounded or not sharp enough to engage the receiver's dovetail grooves. While they are certainly not machined the sharpest I've seen, I experienced no issues engaging the 11mm dovetail on the Gamo. My biggest complaint about the mount is the fact that it just needs a little more height. The objective bell just does clear the receiver with the cover on. Also, it's just low enough to pick up the blurred image of the large barrel shroud found on many Gamo's as well as other air rifle manufacturers. The image appears as a small blurred spot right at the bottom of the sight image. This may be annoying to the point of distraction for some. If you'll concentrate on the reticle crosshair, it's easy enough to ignore. Hammer's would be better served to equip these scopes with the taller mount available on their website. Durability: I have found that many scopes fail simply because of improper mounting especially when the retention pin is not properly seated in the receiver hole. I am also not a fan of individual mounts for a spring or nitro piston air rifle. IMHO, they allow too much movement. That said, there is always going to be a certain number of "lemons" on mass produced products imported from Asia. By the way this scope is built, I believe it would be the exception. To this point though, I personally telephoned and spoke to a representative at Hammer's Optics in CA. I was assured that all their scopes carried a lifetime warranty to the original owner (abuse not being included of course). Yes, it involves packing up the scope and mailing it, but he assured me that a new unit would be sent when the old one received. The fact that they do have a physical store front and a live representative does help reassure me though. I hope someone who has had a recent failed scope puts this to the test for all concerned. As far as not holding zero or other durability issues, I will follow up with a range report in a few months.

Payed the extra $30 for fast shipping (UPS) and the package came only 2 days early and the scope box looks like it was thrown from truck too truck and on 3 rifle it will not hold center 5 or 6 shots then it starts walking left across the target in 2" Increments at 20yds not satisfied at all just disappointed.
