Great Value Purchase, Sturdy Construction, Nice Sound
Overall this is a great little system. I highly recommend it for anyone who loves to hear their old records in a nice simple fashion. Obviously if you're an Audiophile you'll use a more proper turntable (Audio Technica, Pro-Ject, etc.) to fully enjoy the richness and depth of vinyl, but for those wanting to hear their old 45's and those classic garage sale LP's in a basic no-frills manner, this is a quality choice. The system is designed to play the standard 3 speeds of records, each with the lid closed to eliminate stray sound. Some advice: give the turntable some speed time playing 45 or 78 rpm records. This gives the turntable a push to work through the "drag" of the lower 33 rpm speed. Initially, my 33 rpms were sluggish on this turntable, but after some time at higher speeds, they worked just fine. Obviously the speakers will not blow you away, but they are still very good. There's not much bass as you would imagine, but the sound is strong and at higher volumes there is no crackling or distortion. I would put the sound on par with most "jam boxes" we grew up with in the 80's and early 90's. The radio dials are easy to operate (you have standard FM, FM Stereo and AM to choose from). This will come in handy listening to sports on the radio. Cosmetically it has a nice antique feel. Nice wood finish and stylish controls. Everything is easy to operate and within 5 minutes of removing it from the box I was spinning my classic 45s from Genesis, Ambrosia, Hall & Oates and more. If that's all you need, something simple and easy to use, I highly recommend this. Long live vinyl my friends!

Look at no other reviews, the truth is...
I recently bought this turntable after many hours of searching the web for something that wasn't overpriced but still a reasonable and functioning product. Like most reviews on turntables, you always seem to have a split between people hating it and people loving it. I found this super frustrating because it's basically a guessing game at that point. I read some not so kind reviews on Crosby turntables but kept seeing Jensen pop up as a name people liked. I began looking at the different Jensen products on Amazon and finally chose this one. I really didn't know if it was going to function the way I wanted it too based on the low price but I can say that this turntable is fantastic. It plays 33's and 45's very smoothly and the volume reaches rather high which is awesome. If you're looking for a table to play just 33's and 45's, this is definitely worth the purchase. As for 78's, this table plays them smoothly as well. Just be sure to grab the 78rpm needle for this player as it only comes with a needle to play 33's and 45's. It's only around $20 on the website I bought it from. Switching out the needles is fairly easy too once you do it the first time. All in all, if you are looking for a setup for under $100 but hope to still have some quality, this turntable is perfect. It met my exceptions and then exceeded them. It's not huge and it honestly looks great with the wood finish. Very retro look and I love it.

Should Have Bought It Sooner!
I'm no audiophile but it sounds good to me. I have had none of the skipping, scratchy noise, or playback problems that others have mentioned. It works and it works well. I have it on the hutch in our dining room and it matches my simple decor perfectly and has a small footprint. The built in radio tuner also works well and allows me to listen to NPR at dinner or in the next room while I play games. At its loudest the sound does distort but it gets plenty loud before that happens. My daughters love it because we let them take turns picking the records we play at dinner or during other family time. They really love going to an actual brick and mortar music store, combing through the dollar bins, and getting their own albums... "Daddy, who is Madonna?" Which brings me to my next point. I have had no problems with older records. It is even playing seriously warped albums without issue. And this is important because the 10 cent Irish Drinking Songs album I scored is awesome and awesomely warped. I should have bought this player sooner but held off due to some of the negative reviews. But after a few months of looking at it in my saved for later cart I pulled the trigger. You just have to understand who this player is for. To you budding audiophiles...look elsewhere. There aren't a zillion settings to tweak and play with and you are going to be dissatisfied. Just about everyone else is going to be very happy. I know I am.

I'm rating this Jensen JTA-222 3-speed stereo turntable based solely on my expectations, not based on how it compares to other turntables. I ordered it to be able occasionally to enjoy the vinyls I had bought. I knew this was an inexpensive, fairly quiet player. The player arrived in good shape. It looks nice and is easy to operate. I played two brand new vinyls on it a couple times and found no issues (no skipping, no stopping early, no problems with the stylus). I can hook it up to external speakers or headphones. The turntable has met my expectations so far.

Dudaba en comprarlo, pero me decidí ya que tiene un excelente precio. La radio FM es un plus. Los discos se escuchan muy bien y el sonido es muy bueno para una sala o habitación. Lo recomiendo mucho para escuchar tu colección de discos.

This is obviously not a hi-tech turn table. But if you have records and want to enjoy listening to them it's perfect fit. Easy to use, and best of all easy on the eye. Volume is fairly good quality, but doesn't get too high. Personally I am very happy with the results, for what I wanted it, which once again was to have a device that I could listen to some good old records.

After watching so many products online, i ordered this product on 8th of june. It was expected to reach me on 28th of June, but thanks to cart2 india, i received this one day earlier on 27th of june, I bought a step down adopter from the local market, and all my 25 years old vinyls came to life at once. I attached this with my home theater, and i really love this thing. It works well, sounds well. In 8K bucks, you get more than you pay. Dont expect high end functions, in this simple vinyl player. It is worth its cost. I recommend if your want to buy economical ( i wont say cheap) vinyl player, go for it. Although it is made in china, but according to US standards, so it produces crisp and clear sound.
