Bazuka Extra Strength Treatment Gel is a treatment for warts and verrucas. Review: It works when used as directed with persistence and time. - There are multiple salicylic acid products available for wart treatment. Some are liquid, some pads or patches, some in a soft, solid, "chapstick-like" applicator. The problem with all of these products is keeping the active ingredient from losing contact with the wart, either through rubbing off or washing off with normal activities. The Bazuka formulation differs in a critically important way: It keeps the salicylic acid in close contact with the wart for 24 hours and longer. After you apply it, a coating forms over the wart that is resistant to normal contact, (e.g., with clothing or another body part like your fingers or other hand) and moisture - even normal hand washing. The other important advantage of this coating is to keep the wart virus covered so that it does not spread to other areas. These features are what sets Bazuka apart from other salicylic acid formulations and products. I found Bazuka to be the most effective wart treatment I've used, better than freezing products, better than duct tape, and far better than the other salicylic acid formulations. The key is to be consistent in daily or near-daily use and to follow the instructions for soaking in warm water to loosen the previous days coating on the warts, using the include emory board-like abrasive for removing as much of the surface coating as possible before applying a new Bazuka application on the warts. I have used this product on over 20 warts on my hands and feet - I am immunosuppressed, so prone to human papilloma virus growth - the cause warts. And though it took nearly three months and 3 tubes of Bazuka, I can say it actually works. It wears down, layer by layer, the warts. Apply to the warts, let it dry (takes at least 5 minutes to really dry in my experience), wait about 24 hours to soak in warm water to loosen the coating, let that skin dry, remove as much residual coating as possible, and apply new coating. Repeat daily. Be patient. I see the warts gradually become more superficial and smaller - you can see it - with continued use. My largest warts were 1-1.5 cm in size. They are gone. So in summary, I believe the effectiveness of this salicylic acid product is in the formulation that keeps it in continuous and better contact with the wart. It is also possible that one more components of the coating that adheres to the skin is also active against warts. Review: Highly recommend Bazuka Extra Strength - I usually don’t write reviews, but this product truly impressed me. I used Bazuka Extra Strength on my 3-year-old son to treat a wart, and it was completely gone within a month. Even our doctor mentioned that warts often take up to 6 months to disappear and had prescribed a medication that I was hesitant to use on such young skin. I’m so glad we tried this instead. It was easy to apply, gentle enough for my child, and most importantly — effective. Highly recommend!

Getting great results (though not as quickly as I hoped)
I went through an entire round of OTC freezing removal method (instructions said to treat warts max of 3 times with freezing method), and the two warts on my hand didn't budge, they looked as if nothing had EVER happened to them. After reading mixed reviews on US based salicylic acid treatments (thought I'd try a different treatment approach as freezing clearly didn't work), I chose bazuka after reading the reviews. First off, I received the product so quickly! I got about 5 days after ordering, well before the anticipated arrival date 3 weeks out (being shipped from the UK). I was also pleased at the price, considering the long shipping distance and the $20 wasted on freezing method. I've used this product for about 3 1/2 weeks now and finally yesterday I was able to pull off the remaining wart/thickened skin. It's really easy to use, you don't need to squeeze the tube, just let a tiny drop or two come out and cover the wart. Wait two minutes for it to dry completely, it forms a sealant layer which helps keep the wart covered (to not spread) and treats it. It can burn if the liquid touches healthy skin, but a couple minutes of discomfort is totally worth it, and I got more precise as I got used to the applicator. You leave the treatment on for a full day before peeling off and reapplying. Sometimes I could peel off the white layer (oh, ya, it dries bright white) and other times I'd peel off a thick layer of wart skin along with it (I found a sharp pair of tweezers worked well for me to peel/scrape it off, and sometimes cut back the thickened skin-make sure to disinfect the tweezers though!). You don't need to cover the treatment, it's water proof, but because it's so white and obvious, I wear a bandaid over it when I'm out of the house. Last night the last layer of wart finally peeled off! I'm still applying treatment to make sure it's dead, and that I get the "root". Be patient, but give this a try. It worked SO MUCH BETTER than the US purchased OTC treatments. I actually have hope again that I can bare my hands without being self conscious and risk spreading the warts!

I didn't worry about removing it I just kept applying until I was able to easily peel away the built up medication and dead skin
The product works but be prepared to endure some discomfort. Warts are caused by a virus that goes undetected. By irritating the area your body may react with an immune response. Your body will kill off the virus & the wart will go away on its own. This product aids in removal since it destroys skin tissue & causes irritation. It's a tool, not a cure. Warts are usually embedded deep within the skin and have a large blood supply. It's unlikely that you'll be able to brute force remove them with a topical ointment. I used this product to treat a wart on my finger. I applied it at night before bed. In the morning I peeled off what I could, applied a drop of GSE (grapefruit seed extract) And covered it with a bandage. I repeated the process, bazuka at night, gse by day for several days. Over the first 4 days I didn't feel much of anything then on day 5 my finger began to throb, immune response? I didn't apply anything for a day or two and watched the area closely. The pain subsided and I stopped using GSE, only useing bazuka at night. The bazuka is difficult to remove and creates a lot of dead skin tissue. I didn't worry about removing it I just kept applying until I was able to easily peel away the built up medication and dead skin. I could then see that the wart was gone. Just new skin where the wart once was. The process took 10 days.

I used a bottle and a half, and got rid of my 10+ warts in about 3 months. Here's how
My story: It all started with one wart on my foot in 2013, then two then three, then in a matter of months I had ten. I used every single wart removal from Walmart and CVS, and the only thing I go from picking at the warts so much was that it transfer to my hands... One in each finger of my right hand. 2 years went by, nothing over the counter or essential oils worked, so I went to the doctor, they sent me 2 different things... still nothing, the more i did, the more they spread.... now they were on my left hand, and I got engaged! I was desperate, my hands were always covered with pieces of Micropore tape. So i decided to look on here for the best and give it one last shot before paying a lot of money to freeze them and possibly remove them. Here's how I did it: I got this in November 2017, and this is how I used it: 1. Apply Petrolleum-jelly around each wart with a cotton applicator 2. With the Bazuca bottle on vertical position, remove the cap 3. Tilt it when close to the wart and push very lightly 4. With the tip of the bottle, spread the product evenly 5. Allow the product to dry, creating a waterproof white coat 6. Ignore it the next day! i was trying to pick on it, or file the wart the very next day, and all I got was blood (non stopping, very messy blood).. so Leave it alone 7. On the 3rd day, if you see the edges of the wart all dry and flaky, file them down with a wet pumice stone / better if you do this right after taking a shower 6. Repeat steps 1-4 again 7. After shower or soaking the warts on my feet, I used a Callus Shaver (on my feet only) this was the most effective way to remove all the dead skin / I was doing it once a week 8. Repeat and repeat and repeat the same process After you start doing this more and more frequently its going to feel very tender and sore, and its normal, just don't quit, wait if you need to but keep up with the process, if not they'll grow bigger I used a bottle and a half, and got rid of my 10+ warts in about 3 months Its been a month and they haven't returned !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

At first it seems awesome, it has a precision tip that seems like ...
First - this is the only product that has gotten rid of some very stubborn warts that plagued me for years! I tried everything from duct tap and apple cider vinegar and three different other OTC products with no results. This product works! But, let's talk about the packaging. At first it seems awesome, it has a precision tip that seems like it would work really well for delivering the gel directly to the wart. I followed the instructions, which states that you should store the tube upright and I never squeezed. The problem is that when the gel starts to come out (without squeezing even) it comes out FAST and there is no way to stop the flow. I'll bet half the product was wasted due to this issue. I still have two more little warts and have to buy another tube. I'm sure one tube would have handled all the warts (5 total) if not for the waste. Two stars deducted for this, otherwise it would have been 5 stars.

After 2 years with this wart, finally found something that works!!!
I did try the Dr Scholl's freeze system with wart remover liquid first but I wasn't seeing results. TBH I probably wasn't as diligent as I should have been which likely just pissed the wart off and caused it to grow bigger. I've actually got 2 baby warts nearby as well that showed up about 6 months ago. My wart is on the side of my heel, not on the bottom of my foot. It was about as big as a green pea when I started my first efforts of removal, and as someone else described here, it got about as big as a smashed green pea when I decided to try something more agreesive. I got really serious about getting rid of the wart about 7 months ago using the filing / soaking / Dr. Scholl's liquid wart removal method and I wasn't making much progress. I then did research and realized that Dr. Scholl's was only 17% salicylic acid...did a little more digging around and found a post that mentioned Bazuka. I'm on my second tube...and while I was seeing a little progress, I really started seeing results this week. Here's what works best for me: BEFORE I soak my foot in hot water, I use a rough nail file and file away what I can (prior day's bazuka, dry skin, etc). Once that's done, I soak my foot for about 10 minutes in hot water, dry it off, and apply bakuka. I do this every day. Sometimes after wearing tennis shoes and exercising, I can peel away the top layer of the wart, but often it hurts too much. I don't like filing after soaking because I feel the file just catches and drags and tears the skin and causes the spot to be super painful. There will be some pain involved, but soaking then filing in that order made it worse. There is likely some truth to those little micro-tears being helpful because the bazuka can get really deep into the wart, and you can tell when that happens because it really stings, but the resulting soreness wasn't worth the results I was seeing. I ordered my first tube 6/16. Just started my 2nd tube 8/1. Really started seeing biggest results this week...so don't give up. If you start a regiment, keep it up or you'll do what I did and just make the wart get bigger. For a few days I did get duck tape to stick on my foot so for about a week I used it with the first tube, and I do think it helps, but since my wart is on the side of my foot, when walking the tape would pull at the wart and it got too painful. So I haven't used any tape the last 3 weeks or so. I also experimented with the 40% wart removal pads. Again, adhesion was challenging, but I think they helped as well (I would use the bazuka then top with a pad). However, it kept the area moist and I didn't like filing that way, so I would have to let it dry out first. I felt I could peel off quite a bit using the pads and bazuka, but I couldn't tell if I was peeling dead wart or if it was actually the adhesive / medicated pad that stuck to the skin. The tape and pads may have helped speed things along, but for me they weren't going to be a reliable method due to how sore my foot was getting (effected my gait), and the trouble getting it to stick consistently. I honestly think that just the file - soak - bazuka method is really what is working the best, for me anyway. You'll notice some soreness, and you'll notice that the wart area will actually swell. I read on a podiatrists' blog that it may double up in size. That's you just irritating the virus and that's where the battle is going on to eliminate it. Mine is not currently as "puffy", it is getting flatter, and the effected area is finally starting to shrink. The center is dark red right now. It started out opaque white but I'm finally working my way down to the center. I'm also doing this same method to the 'babies' that popped up and they aren't growing and are shrinking as well so hopefully they won't cause additional problems. I'll update in a few weeks, but seriously - this stuff is the BEST! I was worried I'd have to go in to have it cut out - I'm so glad this is working. I'll keep this up as long as needed. Experiment with the soak-file-bazuka or file-soak-bazuka methods...try experimenting with duck tape and the other medicated pads, but for sure keep doing the basic method I've been using every day with consistency and you'll see results. But give it time and don't give up. Again I'm on my 2nd tube and just now seeing real results in shrinkage, not just keeping it from growing bigger. There is hope!!!

It absolutely works!! No joke this product is the real deal!
I almost never write reviews... ever. BUT, this product is so incredible that I honestly felt like I owed it to public to write one. Lol. I have had the most resistant planters warts on my right big toes for close to eight, yes EIGHT, years. And I mean a LARGE cluster of warts covering the whole bottom of my big toe. It was disgusting and embarrassing and every year it got worse no matter what I tried. I was staring to worry it would spread to other toes and cover my entire foot. Not to mention it had recently become very painful. Limiting my shoes choices and any exercise to anything that wouldn’t put force on it. I’ve tried literally everything you could possible try. My dad is a podiatrist and recommended several treatments. Which I used consistently and often longer than the prescribed time. None of which worked. If you’ve had this similar problem, you get to a place where you feel like giving up hoping that the warts will clear up on their own like doctors say they will. As a last resort I tried this product. I say “last resort”, because I only recently found it on amazon and because of its strength I was scared by other reviews saying it was runny and would burn your skin. I found non of that true. I was careful and stored it so that cap was facing upward, which solved the problem of it oozing out when applied. I used it consistently for 3 weeks, never once did it burn, and everyday I used a NEW emory board to scrape the hell out of it. Making sure to peal it and scrape it everyday. I made sure to cover it with either tape or a sock when it was completely dry. By the end of the 3 weeks I peeled back the skin for the final time and there was raw peeling skin but no wart. A couple weeks later the skin had grown back but the wart did not. Today it’s just a normal toe! Hallelujah! I’m honestly still shocked and relieved that it worked. I can not give this enough stars. It’s truly amazing. Just be consistent and you will get results.
