Don't get burned using other solutions!
This is the best peroxide-based disinfecting solution I have found. I have tried both Clear Care Plus ( CLEAR CARE PLUS Cleaning and Disinfecting Solution with Lens Case, Twin Pack, 12-Ounces Each ) and the CVS generic version and both have resulted in burns after about 2 weeks of use. I use this solution along with Bausch & Lomb Sensitive Eyes Daily Cleaner, 1 Ounce , OPTI-FREE Supra Clens Daily Protein Remover, 3-mL , and Sensitive Eyes Plus Saline Solution, 12 Fluid Ounce (Pack of 2) (the latter two I purchase locally). I have found this combination to work best with Biofinitiy lenses and should also work well with other silicone hydrogel soft lenses. So here's my routine. At night, I remove both lenses and sit them in the open lens holder. Next, I take one lens at a time and rub it with the B&L cleanser and put it back in the lens holder. Then, I rinse each lens with saline, position the lens and close the holder. Now, I fill up the lens cup with the disinfecting solution and optionally add a few drops of protein remover. I find that I don't need to add drops every day, but if I don't do it for 4-5 days, then I get some mild irritation. Finally, add a neutralizing tablet, screw the lens holder onto the cup, and invert 3-6 times. In the morning, check that the solution is pink throughout. Invert the case a few times and come back in a few minutes if it looks like the solution is not completely mixed. After opening the lens case, I like to do a quick rinse with saline. I pick up the lens with an OptiWand lens inserter, add a few drops of saline on the lens, and insert them. Now, I'm ready for the day and I find that I don't need to use rewetting drops most of the time. I use OptiWand Soft Contact Lens Insertion and Removal Tool so that I don't have to worry about lint and dead skin cells on my fingers getting on the lenses. It also helps hold any saline or rewetting drops on the lens, which is nearly impossible to do with your finger.

Saved my contact lens prescription!!!
I have been wearing contacts off and on for about eight years now. I swear that I have been through every imaginable contact lens brand (toric lenses) that has come on the market. For some reason my eyes would always swell and get puffy within a few hours after putting on my contact lenses and most lenses would last maximum 4-5 days because they would fall out or make my eyes so irritated that I would have to stop and take them off whereever I was! Be it the gym...grocery store...etc. My optometrist completed my eye exam a couple of months ago and told me that after this year she would not be writing me another contact lens prescription because my eyes were rejecting them and that she had no other option but to keep me off the lenses. I found this bottle at the store a month ago and although it was the most expensive lens disinfectant on the shelf I figured I had tried every contact and every contact solution imagineable and I might as well fork over the money and try this one before I went back to prescription glasses. In the past four weeks I have never felt more comfortable with my contact lenses than after using this product!!! My eyes no longer become irritated, red, and puffy. The solution must work magic on my lenses because I can wear them for 10 hours a day without irritation! Yes it is expensive, but after all of the hassle I have gone through with every other contact solution and contact brand, for me, it is well worth it. =)

Oxysept saved my eyes and lenses! LOVE IT!
Oxysept is AMAZING! I bought Clear Care and house brands from a drug store, and it was an awful experience. It made my eyes even drier than what they are. They burned my eyes, and couldn't wear it for more than 2 minutes. It also damaged my contact lenses. They became hard, and totally impermeable. I was ready to give up on the peroxide cleaners. I gave Oxysept a try, and it was like night-and-day. Even with my super sensitive and dry eyes, my lenses feel so comfortable like I am not wearing any lenses. I even forget that I am wearing them. I used use eye drops constantly, but now, I used the drops every now and then. I think the difference between Oxysept and Clear Care is the way that the hydrogen peroxide is neutralized. Because you're using a fresh neutralizing tablet every time, there is no residual peroxide. But it is not just this difference that makes Oxysept better. I don't know...it's something about it that doesn't bother my eyes. Feels like I am not wearing any lenses, and makes my eyes more hydrated. I absolutely love this product.

Good Alternative for Aosept
I have been using Ciba Vision - Aosept disinfecting system (not Clear Care) for many years, which cleaned the contact lens very well and my eyes were comfortable. Unfortunately, Ciba Vision doesn't make any more. Everything now is multi-purpose solution, which doesn't clean lens well, and make my eyes uncomfortable. Tried Clear Care from Ciba Vision, and my eyes hurt. Oxsept is pretty similar to Aosept. Have been using for about 2 months, so far pretty good. I still prefer Aosept, but Oxysept is a good alternative.

Hello peroxide solution, good bye MPDS!
Using various multi purpose solutions, I always had an issue with the contacts having that weird dry feeling, knowing it's on the eyes, drying out, and blurry vision. So after an experience of sunscreen in my eyes with contacts over an extended period of time, and my wife having issues with her contacts being cloudy, irritated, etc, I started looking into better solutions. I came up with this. To be fair, I bought saline solution from bausch & lomb for sensitive eyes, and did a lot of reading. Peroxide in the eyes didn't seem… fun. So, got everything, pulled the bottle out, pulled the contact lense bottle out, and the little tabs. After reading the box, I used as directed, except noticing there is a fill line on the bottle for the lens case. So, did it, waited, next morning pulled them out, rinsed off with said saline solution, put in… they feel brand new. Perfectly clear, clean vision. I can't feel them on my eyes at ALL. I can see, so, I know they're in, but… I can't believe eye doctors are so lazy anymore that they'll recommend inferior solutions to this. I won't be using multi purpose solutions ever again, unless I need them in a pinch for something.

MY FAVORITE SO FAR....
This product is WAAAAY better than CLEAR CARE and WAAAAY cheaper. My contacts don't dry out with this as CLEAR CARE dries my contacts to the point I have to replace them weekly instead of bi weekly. Trust me when I say this stuff is great!

Why did they change this?
I have been using this product for many years. The past week or so, I noticed that after I put in the neutralizing tablet, the solution bubbles and foams vigorously. The foam is coming through the cap and leaking all over the place. I use a daily cleaner, saline, etc before I insert the contact lenses into the basket. When I would go to the bathroom in the morning to get my contact lenses, the cup would be more than half empty. Alot of the solution foamed out. Then, I noticed my eyes were getting itchy. Why is this happening all of a sudden? I went online and read that if the solution bubbles vigorously after adding the neutralizing tablet that the tablet was not disinfecting. Then, I read online that the solution is now made in CHINA and the tablets are made in INDIA. I checked my bottles and sure enough they are made in China and India. It's time to switch brands. The product's quality has deteriorated and I don't want to risk my eyes.

REPLACEMENT FOR AOSEPT!!!
when ciba aka alcon decided to discontinue aosept, they got a phone call from one very frustrated customer. i had to explain for the upteenth time that i am allergic to that godawful garbage called clear care! (it's the cleaning agent pluronic 17r4) i had to explain the same to my eye doc, than i was soaking my lenses long enough, that i am allergic to the cleaning agent in clear care. so i called the company for this product. the customer service rep was very nice on the phone and told me yes, this WILL be a proper replacement for us aosept users. amo now has a new customer. this stuff disinfects just as well as aosept. no discomfort while wearing my lenses. i am still using up the old school unizyme tablets made by ciba, but will be switching over to the ultrazyme when they run out. i do an enzyme soak every other week. i use walgreens cleaner (miraflow equivalent), but will switch to lobob sof pro 2 when i run out. i use unisol saline to rinse. oxysept is the reason i can still wear contacts!!!!
