This stuff really does work. And it's in a standard size spray bottle, so it will last you quite a long time. Simply spray it on the intake side (dirty side), let it soak for five minutes and gently rinse it thoroughly. Then take it outside and put it in a sunny spot for an hour to dry out. Then put it back it. Simple! What you are cleaning is mainly the thin foam filter inside the housing which traps the micro particles. This isn't going to last forever, so it's why you have to replace these filters every five to six years. Just be gentle when cleaning them, especially with your rinse water, a gentle spray should work, don't use a harsh high speed hose.

I bought this product when I bought a K & N HVAC filter for our house. I tried to use it for the first time yesterday...and the brand new bottle does not spray. The trigger spray system is broken. Sadly, it has been too long since I ordered it for Amazon to do anything about it...so I am waiting to hear from K & N. UPDATE! I just got off the phone with the K & N Customer Service Department (Google it because Amazon won't provide the number). They apologized for the defective product and are shipping me a new bottle with 2 day Fed Ex shipping. So 5 stars for K & N's Customer Service (and quality products)

Cleans the filter really well, just remember to flip the air filter to get the cleaner thoroughly into the grooves.
