to hard to open, no meat!! all seed. nice flavor!!

I am using this dried fruit for medicinal purpose, but could not find it in our local Asian markets these days. I was happy to find the product on Amazon, but when I received the dried fruit, I was greatly disappointed. The longans with shells were placed in a flimsy plastic bag with a knot tied on the top and one third of the fruit came with broken shells. For such a small amount of dried longan and such poor packaging, the seller charged way too much.Update: I found dried longan at a medicinal supermarket in Monterey Park today, and the price for a nice bag (14 oz, which is more than the product here) of longan is: $2.99!

not that tasty or meaty

I always enjoyed the dehydrated fruits. Especially the longan (dragon-eye fruits). But those are machine dried, not sun dried. So, they are not taste as yummy, but still tasty. And fun to get the flesh separating from the pit. Enjoy.
