A perfect replacement for my old alkaline batteries. I use these batteries inside of TV remotes, game controllers, and a multi meter and they work great! Although more expensive than a normal alkaline, these can be recharged hundreds of times and even last longer too. I've recharged a few of these batteries 10+ times and they're still working like new. It is significantly more economical to purchase a few rechargeable than it is to keep purchasing alkaline batteries over and over. The one con is that these batteries are a bit larger than a typical alkaline AAA battery. This made them a bit of a snug fit in some compartments, but I was always able to get them to fit. Additionally, they hold steady at 1.2V rather than starting at a higher power level (usually 1.5V or 1.7V) and slowly going down like alkalines do. This isn't a huge deal since devices designed to take AAA batteries should run just fine off of 1.2V, but be aware that poorly designed electronics might not be powered at 1.2V, even though they really should.

I used these for tiny Christmas lights, 3 ft strands of very small lights. In sets of 3, They were good for about 12 hrs, then weakened. They do charge quickly.

I purchased this item on September 30th, 2016 for the price of CDN$ 8.79 before tax. I own a Panasonic Eneloop K-KJ17MCA4BA charger and I have been using Eneloop branded batteries with it. I previously purchased the 8-pack of AmazonBasics AAA rechargeable batteries, and I found that they perform just as well as the Eneloops. I did some research and also found that AmazonBasics rechargeable batteries are just re-branded Eneloop batteries. There is no reason to buy Eneloop branded batteries if you have the option of buying these ones. You also get a discount on AmazonBasics products if you are a Prime member, so these already cheap rechargeable batteries become even cheaper. They hold their charge very well and also charge quickly, but I believe the charging speed depends on the charger you are using. I use my AmazonBasics batteries in my remotes, controllers, graphing calculator and wireless mice.
