A little large but I like them.

That pretty much says it. I haven't washed them yet, so if they fall apartafter a wash or 2, I will amend this review accordingly, for accuracy's sake.They are comfortable right away, tie-able via drawstrings, and have workable pockets.Great for warm-weather when slacks would be uncomfortable.I hiked in a redwood forest with them and they held up OK.At this price, the only other thing thing you'd wish for is some durability (overrepeated washings).I'll know soon enough.So far, they work for me.***Postscript, a few weeks later***:The shorts have held up well after lots of wearing &a couple of washings, and do seem to be fairly well-made.Don't seem to be any problems there.==============================================================More weeks later:Still holding up fine to everyday wear and a few more washings.I suppose If I worked a steel mill or rustled cattlein these airy-comfortable, baggy cotton shorts,they would really wear out fast.But for regular activies they are great.You know, everyday stuff like walking around, driving, shopping,hanging out, walking the dog, washing the car, playing frisbee in the park,swimming (yes, they do work well as swim wear too,in lieu of something else), playing golf, etc etc.And ofcourse, couch-potatoes will love them too.

I've found these shorts to be big and comfortable. My only complaint is that the material seems to be thin and not likely to be absorbent when exercising. The outstanding question--and it's much too soon to address this--is durability. Ask me again in a year of the shorts are wearing well.

I was delighted to find shorts in my size at such a decent price, and couldn't wait to order my first pair. As another reviewer said, these things are BIG. Not just as in made for big folks, but they are surprisingly long. I'd say each size is actually one size larger than most others compared to it, but they are extremely comfortable for around the house wear, or suitable for going out about your daily errands and working out etc... I've seen a few negative reviews about the seems and stitching, but I've not yet had any trouble with mine. The pockets are deep and spacious, and the fabric is very soft and easy to wear. All in all, I'm very satisfied with my product. As I said, the pair I ordered in my size were a bit bigger than what I'd normally wear, but I just went back and ordered another pair a size smaller, and they're the most comfortable shorts I've had in awhile. The reviews seem to be mostly favorable, and I give it my two thumbs up so to speak, and I don't think you'll be disappointed. Thanks so much for your time folks. Sincerely, R.A. McDowell

The reason I'm only giving this 4 stars instead of 5 is the sizing. If you're going to buy these, keep in mind that they run very large, and don't use the Amazon sizing guide for a reference, because it's not even close to accurate on these shorts. I am a size 50, and based on the Amazon chart, 2-XL was showing waist sizes 44-46, so I figured I would need a 3-XL. When I got them, however, the 3-XL felt like it was made by Omar The Tentmaker. They could have easily fit on someone with a size 56-58 waist. I'm about to try a size 1-XL to see if that makes a difference. Just know that these things are sized a lot bigger than normal shorts are, and buy accordingly.

These are my husband's favorite cotton blend short. He wears them all the time. From my perspective, they wash and wear well. Machine wash, tumble dry - color fast. They hit him just about exactly as they do on the photo model, just about at the knee. They are what I would say are a medium weight... not terribly light or heavy. I always update with any issues.

I have purchased several pairs of these shorts over the years and continue to be impressed with the product quality and wear. Be careful when ordering, as Russell does have another similar product that is much lower quality than these (see ASIN B000MNA0NW) which do not come anywhere close to these for quality or performance.Pro: Fit as expected, perhaps a bit generous in the seat. Quality material and construction. Quality waistband elastic to keep them up.Con: Higher price than other offerings

Asian size chart is a pain.

My son said he didn't want to wear shorts so I took them over and love them. They are loose and comfy.

A bit bigger then expected but very comfortable. Well made.
