Martin Smith Premium Concert Ukulele with Tuner, Padded Bag & Spare Aquila Strings

I bought this for my daughter as an upgrade from a gear 4 music one. My daughter progressed very well on the little Gear 4 Music ukelele but it proved too small for her to proceed. This Martin Smith version is perfect! It sounds great and is the perfect size for a 12 year old. Great value for money and an amazing instrument.

Pleasantly surprised at the quality of the uke. Everything you need to get started. Only a couple of criticisms. The action is a bit high for my taste. Will adjust by shaving the bridge down a bit. Frets aren't very smooth on the edge of the fretboard and will need dressing to make them more comfortable. For the price a great starter uke.

I read the reviews before buying. I read a lot of comments about the mildew on the case. I still decided to purchase this uke because it was a local seller and not international shipping costs. I also had mildew on the case, but not too bad for me compared to other buyers, and I think a day in the sun or a spritz with some vinegar will take care of that for me. If the case is a big deal for you, maybe take that into consideration. Overall the Uke itself is a nice piece of equipment. It tuned easily, it comes with all the necessary gear to get started and for such a low price it was well worth. I love the rounded edge on the top of body so your arm sits comfortable and not on a sharp edge. I'm not a musician but already having fun with this wee beastie.

I've been a professional-turned-amateur guitarist for many years now and am used to very high quality instruments. This is fantastic value for money. There is a beautiful cutaway design on the body, and also a smoothed off section where one's arm would normally rest against a pointed edge. The sound isn't amazing but it plays very nicely. Very impressive -a case, a tuner, a strap and chord book (with an incorrect c minor chord in) - and all for that kind of price. Brilliant.

Bought this for my boyfriend as a gift, whenever it stays at mine I secretly play it more than the other ukulele I own. It has really round and full resonance when playing, the best sounding ukulele for this price IMO

I ordered this as a Christmas present so this review is not based on the actual ukulele. It arrived very promptly directly from the Amazon warehouse. Unfortunately, like others have said when I opened it the actual soft case has mould spots on it. I was very disappointed as I don’t have enough time to sort this before Christmas. Even before I opened the box I could smell a musty smell. I will be returning it which is a real shame. The instrument itself looks fab and well made with all the accessories too. I guess Amazon are just storing this is a damp warehouse.

I've only ever had soprano ukuleles and fancied trying a tenor. As I did not know if I would click with it, I didn't want to spend too much. So this Martin Smith uke was a no-brainer. I was not prepared for how good this was going to sound! Nothing about this uke looks, feels or sounds cheap.

When this came up on Prime Day, it caught my eye. The cutaway and the eased edge are features you usually only see in high-end instruments, and as I've wanted to try a concert size uke (have a tenor already), I gave it a shot. I have had experience making alterations to the string height, and figured if I had to tweak it, it wouldn't be too bad. Wasn't necessary - the action was decent right out of the box. Tuned it up, and it sounded great. Will undoubtedly hold tuning better when the strings normalize (Aquila strings are great!). The tuner, strap, and extras are maybe not the greatest, but far better than I was expecting. Sorry to hear others have not had as good an experience, but from what I encountered, this uke is worth every bit of the normal pricing, and on sale, it's a no-brainer.

Hay que fijarse en que si pides un ukelele de tenor, no te llegará de la marca Martin Smith, te llegará de la marca Rock Jam. No obstante, por 21 euros tiene un sonido excelente, y aunque es habitual que en este tipo de precios no estén perfectos estéticamente, si el que te ha llegado es aceptable como el segundo que me ha llegado a mí, ya solo te queda disfrutarlo. He probado otras marcas económicas que incluyen fundas y demás, y no hay ninguno como este, tal y como digo en el título. Es insuperable.
