Large Post Style Kitchen Basket Strainer with Waste Disposal Stopper

I had to replace my old drain flange as the plastic coating was peeling from the metal flange. I went back and forth between repacing it with a plastic or metal drain flang assembly. After reading a ton of reviews, I decided on the Westbrass. This was easy enough to install, it looks great and to this date it has been easy to keep clean and has held-up well. The color mached very well, as this was a concern of mine. Overall I think this is a good value.

A great look and super easy to install! Furthermore, I was glad it fit my sink and matched the dimensions for garbage disposal as well.

This has been installed in my new sink for 6 weeks and the black finish is already peeling off. Neither my husband nor myself has scraped the disposal collar or dropped anything on it. Product supposedly has a 1 year warranty and I have contacted Westbrass about a claim. So far I have had no response from them. Not happy. Update 01/12/21: After filling out the contact form on the Westbrass website, I waited 3 weeks with no response. Today I called Westbrass and a very nice gentleman informed me that the matte black finish is indeed more prone to peeling than other finishes. He suggested that the flange be treated with wax (such as car wax) to protect the finish prior to use. He also offered to send me a replacement flange at no cost. I will wax the new one before use and see how it holds up. Update 6/5/21: Waxing actually made the color more rich. The disposal flange has been installed for 5 months and it still looks great with no sign of peeling.

These look great. The one going to the disposal had to be adjusted because to short, but we did it. They look really good with the black sink

The look of these is great, but they were slightly to big to fit into the sink we bought them for. It was almost like a manufacturing defect. With a little engineering, we made it work but it was a moment of panic for sure. Might have just been a defect with this particular one, but I am not sure as I did not have time to reorder to see.

Easy to install and great value for the money .

There weren't that many that offered a matching set. Took a chance, glad I did.

Lousy for use in kitchen sink with daily use. Finish is coming off and rusting underneath.

Bought this Mar 26th and the paint is peeling off the drain and flange. The flange is discoloured. It look terrible. I will have to replace them. There is only my husband and myself living in the house. This should not be happening. I would stay away from this product. pictures to follow!
