It’s very easy to control! With the press of a button, it takes off and lands automatically.
This is the best drone we have ever purchased (and we’ve owned many). My kids are absolutely thrilled with it! It’s very easy to control — even my four-year-old son was able to fly it. This drone has probably survived hundreds of crashes into walls and the floor, yet this little guy still takes off and keeps making my kids happy. The quality is excellent, and I really appreciate that extra batteries are included in the package. I saved it on Amazon because I plan to buy another one if ours ever breaks. I highly recommend this product! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Great Value and Great Little Flyer
Great little beginner drone for Cold winter days. Easy to fly, comes with 3 flight batteries and helps train new flyers in RC flight.

Fun for all ages!
We got these for our 6 and 9 year old boys. They love them! And they can both control them very easily. The drone is very stable while flying. Learning how to trim while flying is important to make sure it stays stable for the most part. It will drift slightly, but trimming it will help. They’re not too loud. The only reason I removed one star is because the battery doesn’t last long. But at least they gave 3, so you can always have 2 charging. That part is really nice. Also, I think it can only do flips when the battery is very full. It takes a lot of power to do the flips, so if it won’t do it I think it’s because there isn’t enough battery left. Very fun though!!

Fun and easy, but maybe not for cats (and definitely not outdoors)
I wanted to see if my cats and foster kittens might be interested in a flying toy. I wanted something relatively cheap so if it got pounced on I wouldn't upset at the cost. The first one I got was obviously used and broken, Amazon replaced it, and the second was in perfect shape. The good news is there's little risk of it getting pounced on. The cats are interested in this, but only at a distance. When it flies close to them they scramble where I was expecting them to get a case of the wiggle butts. I can see where some people damage these on the first flight. Having experience with RC airplanes and big drones I skipped reading the owners' manual (big mistake). I hit the takeoff button and it zipped up rather quickly, hit a cabinet and then went crazy fighting artificially induced pitch sticking itself to the cabinet door. If you're not ready for it the way it zips up will absolutely startle and hit something if you're not in a clear space. I also accidentally discovered the relative direction mode (in this mode which way the stick makes it go is relative to you, so that if you rotate with the left stick until the drone is facing the opposite way, pushing the right stick to the right will still make the drone go to your right right instead of left). This was a little confusing for me having prior RC experience. Again, reading the manual would have been smart on my part. Lastly is a tip about the reviews talking about it just drifting away outdoors. The controller has an IR panel on the front (facing away from the pilot). For those that don't know, IR is light based. I'm pretty sure this is how the drone knows which way it is facing for relative direction mode, but it's quite likely it's used for other purposes, including actual flight control instead of RF. This means that when it's in direct sunlight, the IR receiver on the drone itself will get "jammed" by the sunlight and will be unable to receive input from the controller. This is definitely an indoor only drone, but at a minimum if you're going to do it outdoors, do it at night and keep it really close to you. Without walls for the IR light to reflect off of, the range will be much lower outdoors, so you risk it flying away at night too. It wouldn't be a fair review if I didn't also list one big con. It comes with blue & black fans, which would be great, however the fans aren't actually color coded. The fans spin in different directions depending on their location on the drone. Normally I would expect them to be color coded along the lines of "black = clockwise blue = counterclockwise", however this isn't the case. If you break a blade, you will need to carefully look at the fan blades to ensure the broken ones you are replacing match the new ones. Putting a clockwise in a counterclockwise or vice versa the drone will not be flyable and possibly fly around erratically hitting people or objects in the room (causing further damage). OTOH if you're feeling like mixing it up you could swap a blue for a black or such for visual effect. Overall it's a good little drone. Read the instructions, know how to handle it before you're first flight, don't run into things and I would imagine this will last quite a while UPDATE: Been flying it around my house for a few weeks now. People who complain about it breaking are misusing it IMO. I've had a couple of small crashes. It seems fairly durable, no damage from falls from five feet up onto carpet, or accidentally tapping it into a wall. To break it, you would need to go full speed into a wall, which would probably break it. Kids being rough treating it like an RC car will break it. Drones aren't RC cars and are more fragile.

Amazing for the price
My 4yo can fly this as long as I do the 4 step process to launch it (the card that comes with its controller is super clear/easy to follow). Kiddo loved showing it off to his cousins Xmas morning. Has held up so far to multiple crashes around the house. Perfect size for a first timer and kiddo. Props to Holy Stone for great product and a great price.

I bought 2 😬
I wanted to pilot some smaller drones to get back to flying my phantom. I went through Holystone to see if they could help b.c the night I ordered a second one the first started having issues 🥲😬. Idk maybe the second one won't have issues. For now I'm waiting for Holystone to respond. Also the batteries cost $15/battery!! Other than that I love this little guy which is why I got a second one. These drones are getting crazy! Cons: - batteries (when failing, cause the drones to drop height unexpectedly which can be scary if you are low to the ground already. -Drifting like crazy you basically have to steer or it will lol... Pros: fun, 3 speeds, extra props, easy set up, easy gyro set up, props are incased. 🛑UPDATE 9/25/24 I've purchased this item twice because its easily one of the entertaining things ever. The batteries though, you get three. They are good for the first 10ish charges. You can space out your play times. You have to limit how much you play with it if you want it to last. Holystone said they would send out 3 new batteries. That was a few days ago and they only sent me the transcipt of out conversation. On the second purchase I went ahead and got the insurance policy because I anticipated this. I bought my drone because I'm in an area with poor internet. I noticed that the battery I set aside to test whether it was a the drone or the quality of the battery and proved my hypothesis that the drone itself is solid its only the battery quality. Its not quality but they give you quantity but if you look up the batteries that fit this they are $15/piece 🤯its cheaper to buy another drone and just accept that its like a disposable vape. Luckily you can get insurance for 2.99 or at least I did 😌. All though idk how I feel about this as far as the ewaste. As much as I love this specific model. I may look for a brand that isn't considered disposable. Other wise its fun even with the drift after calibration. Its great for learning. 👌

Highly Recommend
Purchased the a red and a blue for my granddaughters (9 and 11). Both loved them. Very easy to use, great for indoors and work extremely well. Batteries do not last long BUT you receive with more than one battery - very easy for them to charge and switch out on their own. Highly recommend.

Easy and fun
Fun and easy to use inside and outside. It is recommended that the kids learn to navigate inside first to avoid getting the drones into trees or the roof. The little drones are a blast and come with a generous number of batteries that charge pretty quickly in an usb port.
