I had a coffee machine with all the bells and whistles that even brewed tea and made froth I realized I just wanted something good quality that would last and brew a consistent cup. So I started thinking, a family member of mine had this Bunn Coffee machine for years, it met all the criteria including making a consistent cup, it was simple, easy to clean, brewed at a great temp. Theres no extra junk just a good reliable cup of coffee. Every single time. I gave my $200+ Ninja to a family member and bought this one, to say ive been happy with it is in understatement. I just purchased my forth BUNN coffee maker in thirty years. I hope to get another ten years of service from this wonderful machine! I was instantly hooked on the quality and speed of the brewed coffee from a friend’s coffee maker, I already had trust in the brand after seeing the BUNN name in quite a few local coffee shops so I felt the extra cost over the regular store shelf brands was justified. BUNN recommended replacing the machine in four years so I was a bit nervous the entire fifth year of the first machine but the heating element finally gave out a few years later. The second one came with a pitcher my new mother-in-law loved; she wasn’t use to not having to turn it on yet, lol. The innovation helped her to choose to invest in her own BUNN! I myself was impressed by the valve under the lid when I got my third machine! I only replaced the third one because it started leaking on the counter if left in the open position over night; my home care aide likes to leave it set ready to go for me in the morning’s. My new GRB Velocity Brew machine is identical to the last one; on the outside anyway. I’m left to wonder if they haven’t fixed the leaking valve; time will tell I guess. But it does say they have reached an important plateau in home design as far as looks and quality are concerned. So if you are on the proverbial fence when it comes to the extra investment, I highly recommend you get one! You won’t be disappointed! TIP: if you use municipal water to make your coffee, I have come to use Deer Park bottled water. It is another step up in my morning elixirs quality!

Worth every penny! Hot coffee in 4 minutes! Read all of the reviews then decide. I don't need pause and serve feature. (Because it's that fast anyway) I don't need a brew timer feature, because it's literally pouring the water and flip the warmer plate switch easy set up. As far as the other complaints in the reviews, if you take the time to read the instructions and get to know exactly how it works, you'll be enjoying some seriously great coffee. Is it perfect? I have to say no because if you don't line up the coffee pot under the drip hole just right, you could have an over flow mess. Again, read the instructions thoroughly! I also want to point out that out of all of the different coffee carafes that I've owned, I've never had one that didn't drip after pouring...UNTIL NOW! Well done Bunn, that funky looking carafe lid is genius! Life is too short to settle for meh coffee, buy the Bunn!

I am so very pleased with the ordering, shipping, delivery and make of this Bunn Coffee Maker. It came boxed in its original box, inside a well fitted shipping box - everything on time, maybe earlier than expected, and intact and perfect. I ordered this one with caution, because my original Bunn Coffee Maker was purchased 12 years ago (started leaking), was concerned about upgrades, and I wanted it to the be the very same unit. It is!!! Yay!! Highly recommend this seller As far as this type of coffee maker, if you have never had one, it is a good quick coffee maker. I used less coffee grounds, like my coffee a little weaker, but it is so thorough in water pressure through the grounds, you don't need to overpack the filter with coffee for stronger coffee taste. i have heard some people do that and get a mess. Less is MORE! 12 years it kept the water hot in the reserve tank on a daily basis - until it finally wore out. I've had replacement pots and filter holders fit perfectly too over this long lived units life.

The reason Bunn makes such a good cup of coffee is because the water is preheated and dispensed through the large spray head at a constant, optimal temperature. Our first velocity brew lasted around 7 years, and yes, ultimately developed a leak. We have a Mr Coffee, 10 cup in our RV, which I brought into the house while thinking about a replacement and we brewed 2 pots - with and without the 'strong brew' option, both brewed a similar strength coffee, but both slightly bitter, more decidedly with the 'strong brew' option which slows down the brew time. I haven't done scientific temperature measurement, but I understand the reason Bunn makes a better tasting cup of coffee. I'd like to have gotten more than 7 years out of our first velocity brew, but the price is reasonable for such great coffee. One downside is no automatic shutoff for the pot warmer. The fancy timer stuff is pretty useless on a Bunn because a full pot brews in 3-4 minutes. The other downside is they need to be turned off completely if you are not using it for more than a couple of days because the tank will run dry. This is definitely a coffee maker for those who brew at least daily. I did some research looking at other coffee makers, and there's lots of other machines out there, but the Bunn is hands down the best tasting coffee. Especially at this price level, I'm surprised Bunn is not consistently top rated. It does not have a clock, won't wake you up or allow you to start the brew cycle from your Bluetooth device, but it does make a smooth, delicious cup of hot coffee in a very short time.

I received 6 years of perfectly cromulent coffee with this Bunn. If you want a no-frills pot of coffee, it does the trick. If you're a coffee flavor enthusiast, this might not be the right coffee maker. Pros: Fast - There's always warm water in the reservoir, so the coffee comes out almost immediately. I also use the top of the maker as a sort of warming tray for certain things unrelated to coffee. Brews a full pot in less than 3 minutes. It's easy to fill, use and clean. Cons: Fast - since it brews so fast, it splashes the coffee grinds out of the basket, making for murky coffee. I even tamp the grounds down to compact them, but they end up climbing up the walls of the basket, and cling to the side above the filter. It also does not allow the water to steep for very long, so brews a pot of murky AND weak coffee. While the speed of brew is great, there's no stopper plug and one has to wait until the grounds have fully dripped into the pot to grab a cup. Not a big deal because it brews so fast. Also, I wish it brewed 12 cups instead of 10. Sometimes, it falls short of 4 large cups per brew. The last bit is unusable due to the grounds being splashed into the pot. This pot still brews hot coffee after 6 years, and I'd say I got my money's worth, but for me, the cons outweigh the pros & I'll likely replace it with a different brand if and when it does go.

This one replaced an identical one I had for many years. Very simple to use and I make many pots throughout the day. It will make a fresh pot in minutes. Good quality coffee maker

We got this on Amazon less expensive than we could buy at our local stores -- significantly less, I don't mind supporting the local economy but not when it is $30 or more extra dollars!. We had a similar unit that we wore out after about 6 years! But we use these coffee pots all the time -- probably 6 or 8 times a day. It stands ready to perform with hot water waiting and I feel we get our money's worth and much satisfaction and pleasure. We start in the morning making piping hot water for our dogs' meals. They get a combination of oatmeal, algae, VITALITY, and a bit of left over meat like a chicken "mcnugget" equivalent (or if we have no leftover use a bit of chicken powder), with a bit of dry dog food mixed in on top. The water is sufficiently hot to make the raw oatmeal (the best for both humans and pets) cook and the supplements mix into the oatmeal and this yields a delicious meal our dogs can hardly wait for. Then it is time for our own session. We have an organic Kona Coffee Farm (KonaComfort.com) and so we never run out and also we never get tired of that wonderful cup or two and it comes out very fast and perfect each time with our Bunn Coffee Brewer. Once it has brewed -- in what seems like just a moment -- we pour our cups hot and then I do not let the burner stay on. If there is left over coffee, our organic Kona is so sweet I can drink it warm or even cold later. It does not waste! Afternoons, we will switch to making hot water for tea. We love good organic jasmine green tea, and the Bunn Coffee Brewer makes the water just perfectly. You can make one cup or two or the 10 cup whole pot -- just what you need at the moment, and it takes about as much time to measure and pour into the top as it does for it to come out hot on the bottom. The coffee pot has a valve on the top lid so that when you open to pour water in, it waits until you are finished and close the top door before it will send the water thru to make your hot water -- this is a nice feature which our last pot (being older) did not have. Later afternoon, it is time for our second pet feeding of the day. And we usually will have dinner about the same time -- 6PM ish, and often will have another fresh pot of our Organic Kona Comfort Kona Coffee. Usually we feel like another cup of Jasmine Tea later maybe around 9PM, and sometimes we will use the pot to make instant soup packets or those nice "cup o soups" or if in the mood before going to bed to make hot water for bourbon totties. All in all, this is an indispensable appliance that we use daily and from our experience will last for many years of constant service.
