Solid chuck. Taper fit holds tight. Drill bits didn't slip.
I bought the 1/2" chuck with R8 shank to use on a Bridgeport mill. I'm using this in a low use application, not a production shop. It smoothly opens and closes across the range. I didn't notice any issues seating the tapered shank. I degreased the mating chuck taper and shank taper. I then deburred both tapers with fine stones (this probably wasn't necessary). I warmed up the chuck in the oven and put the shank in the freezer. I put the two together and quickly gave it a whack with a lead hammer. I drilled some 1/4" holes in aluminum and cold rolled steel so far. I spot drilled first with a collet and then drilled with the chuck. The old mill held under 0.002" on size, and location between holes. No complaints so far. I'll update this review if something comes up. So far I'm happy I took a chance on this affordable option.

Great value and fits Porter Cable PCB660DP
The stock chuck in my Porter Cable PCB660DP was never that great to begin with (runout) and over the years started clamping unevenly. I worked around it by unclamping/reclamping the bit and it was good enough for woodworking. Lately I've gotten into metal working and need a DP with mill-like accuracy. A relatively cheap, big-box store drill press isn't a mill and has a lot more driveline slop. Bought this chuck and arbor combo based on the reviews, to just replace the entire stock assembly and it was a good gamble. Arbor comes packed in it's own hard plastic sleeve and the chuck well-greased up in a plastic bag. Quality of both is very good. Surfaces are clean, smooth and free of tooling marks. The chuck is a little stiff to open/close, but it will loosen up with use. Overall, I think this is a great value.

Package and shipping issues
Nice product. Heavy product real lightweight box, not taped shut. Then put in a lightweight plastic bubble pack bag. Heavy steel product comes out the light box, then the spindle poked a hole in the base and lost between there and here, ofcourse a new one was shipped the same way, but was lucky the second the. Very inconvenient fir me, because of improperly packing the product for shipping.

High quality drill chuck
Not sure what some are complaining about with regard to the drill bit size. The Earl Diamond Super Heavy Duty Drill Chuck 1/2" Capacity with MT2 Morse Taper 2 Arbor & K32 Key (B16) listed here that I bought, has no problem holding pretty much any drill bit up to 13mm. Just over 1/2". Chuck indicates 0.5mm ~ 13mm. 1mm is .03937". A 0.5 mm drill bit (as listed on the side of the chuck) is 0.01968 inch. Who has a drill bit smaller than that? If you did, you probably wouldn't expect a 1/2" drill chuck to make watches Just saying. These jaws almost close tight. When you hold this chuck up to the light before putting it onto the mandrel, can barely see light thru it. Very accurate and very smooth. The only complaint I had, was that I used a micro file on the tips of the three jaws in order to get rid of a very minute finishing burr. This in no way effected the fit and function of the drill chuck or what size drill it accepted. Very well made. Tight and smooth. No regrets. If I needed two, I would definitely buy another. Good Chuck But Misleading Product Photos
Pros: Its a solid chuck with tight tolerances. Accurately aligns with my head stock spindle. The packaging was nice, bubble wrapped and coated in that Chinese grease. The longer MT2 shank came separated from the chuck, protected in a plastic case, and is an excellent fit for my vintage 1950's Delta1460 wood lathe tail stock. When I retract the tail stock all the way the chuck releases as it should. The chuck key is solid and fits nice. Cons: I was quite upset when I opened the box and found that the nibs of the chuck do not come completely together as shown in product photos. I paid the extra money and purchased this particular chuck specifically for that reason. I use small 64th" sized bits for some of my work and my smaller drill bits aren't hex style quick release bits. I understand the listing says 3-16mm but the multiple photos clearly show otherwise. I needed to use the chuck as soon as it arrived, otherwise I would have returned it and purchased the "WEN 1-16mm"chuck for $20. Side Note: The chuck is in Earl Diamond packaging but is etched with the SANOU branding. Not sure what that's about.

Good value for the hobbyist machinist
Made well enough for a hobbyist machinist such as myself, especially for the cost.

Works perfectly. Haven't measured runout but can't see any by eyeballing it.
