natural and delicious !
I am always looking for quality sunflower seeds but was so disappointed from what I could get from retail stores. This is the best brand! Seeds are very clear and ready for me to lightly roast them at home. You want the raw whole seeds so that you can enjoy the ordinality and delicious roasted seeds with great quality. For sure, I will keep coming back for more. No more waste money at any retail stores.

Highly recommend!!!
Exceptional packaging, quality, taste and price over name brands! The salt level is perfect compared to name brands reduced salt ads. First time buyer, will be a long time customer.

Great seeds without all the salt
My mom can't have a lot of salt, so I saw these and ordered them for her. She loved them. I will definitely get these for her again.

Too Small; Too Surface-y Taste; Too Much Salt
I address in this review the answer to question WHICH ONES TO BUY. I don't understand the couple reviews telling reader what they do with sunflower seeds. You want to know WHICH to buy. Don't get Gerbs. Far superior are the ones by Hampton Distribution. Yeah that name, sort of cryptic. But I bought both and know. Gerbs are smaller sunflower seeds. Gerbs are more surface-y tasting (not depth of flavor). Gerbs are too salty. Get the Hampton Distribution sunflower seeds. They are larger. Have more flavor. And are much less salty. I used to buy two jars of a store brand. And then I'd mix the salted and un-salted sunflower seeds together. But, INSTEAD of Gerbs, buy the Hampton Distribution. They are the best. Better than Planters and better than store brands with the optimum level (low level) of salt.

Great (high-priced) sunflower kernels
These kernels have great texture and taste, but $10 per pound is a little expensive...my only complaint.

At the moment an excellent price compared to others.
The product comes in a very heavy vacuum sealed bag. And the product is very fresh. The taste quality is very good with very few empty shells or 'off' seed. My only wish was that they sold a large version of the seed. These are standard size.

Delicious!
My husband's job requires a lot of driving for work -- constantly driving all day long. My job requires many early morning or late night driving. Both of us are driving in what I would consider compromising conditions. The first thing I was looking for were organic sunflower seeds. I really didn't want something tainted by GMOs, contain MSG flavorings, or refined "table salt." I didn't know if I could even find such a thing. While these may not be technically organic, they are the closest thing I could find. I know it can be difficult for farms to get organically certified so as long as it was not genetically modified, I'm happy. I bought the lightly sea salted variety. There are no other flavorings other than sea salt. The quality and flavor of the seed is delightful. The sea salt is light enough to brighten the flavor of the natural seed, but does not have a salty taste. This is perfect because my husband eats these all day long every day to stay awake during the mundane chore of driving. He can chew them without a painfully swollen blistered tongue by the end of the day. Occasionally, I'll come across a stick in the bag. That's no big deal. There are a couple that don't have seeds in them either. These things are nothing out of the ordinary when buying any other bag of sunflower seeds. What I will say is that I haven't come acrossed a burnt seed -- at least not yet. Other brands of sunflower seeds contain oddly shaped seeds and many burnt seeds (especially the brand Spitz). I couldn't take the flat, bitter taste of other brands of seeds. It's like they take their mis-shapen, genetically modified seeds, burn them for "flavor," and cover up the bitterness with MSG flavorings. In the end, my tongue is so painfully swollen that I can't even bear to chew another one for weeks. Only out of desperation to stay awake while driving will I succumb to those other brands. These seeds are the best! I make sure to never run out. Once I open the second to last bag, I order more. There is always one un-opened bag in the pantry to manage inventory so we don't ever have to run out. Enjoy!

You can eat hundreds with salty issues
Edit 5/27/25 Ordered some jumbo 2 lbs bags and all three were not vacuum sealed. Tested them and they are stale with too much humidity. Bummer! After several minutes of moving around customer service I finally got to chat with a live person who refunded the payment. But now I need to order more. Hoping they are good. Edit 5/4/25 I'm starting to find small pieces of granola in my seeds. The company states that they are serious about allergies, but this would be a case where people may be allergic to the ingredients of the granola. Also, how well did they clean the machines after packing the granola before doing the seeds? So glad I found these. We were eating David sunflower seeds with lower sodium and wondering, what is the point? Those things have way too much salt! Your mouth feels like you hit it with a carrot scraper! These seeds are lightly salted. You can eat them at a baseball game, etc. and not have sores in your mouth. A great way to snack and add potassium to your diet. The seeds are of all shapes and sizes, whereas the David Jumbo seeds were mostly pretty large. But I'm sure that's because of GMO messing with the flowers. I'll take these lightly salted ones over those any day!
