Not up to the old Camillus standards
This knife is poorly made when compared to comparably priced folders from respected brands like Kershaw, Buck, Spyderco, etc. Camillus used to be a respected brand, but if this knife is any indication, Camillus is now a branding front for poor Chinese knock-off knives. I have some very high quality/high value Chinese-made knives that I bought from Kershaw, Spyderco, and even Benchmade, but this Camillus knife is not even close to them in quality.Let me get to the details of why I'm so unhappy with this knife. The liner lock is very poor; i.e. it's way too thin, and it has a tendency to get wedged between the end of the blade and the handle, thus preventing you from unlocking it. The pivot screw is like nothing you'll see on a quality knife. You'll need a special tool to unscrew it. The are two frame screws that are really not quite hex-head nor torx head. If you try to unscrew them, rest assured you WILL strip them. The knife is very light for it's size, due to the wafer thin aluminum and "mystery" CF handles. I've never seen a more poorly finished "carbon fiber" overlay in my life. For what this knife costs, you can do much, much better.

I found this knife at a local thrift shop and thought I would take a chance. This isn't meant to be a top of the line survival knife, I use this as an everyday knife for work, ie opening boxes, and packaging, maybe some cutting of materials every now and again. It has performed to its standards. my only gripe is the screws that hold the clip together come loose fairly easily. I fixed that by taking it off and adding thread locker/superglue and now it holds up just fine. I haven't had any issues with the unlocking mechanism getting stuck, it operates as it should. The blade is sharp and stays sharp for a relatively long time. I do run across my sharpening stone once a week to keep the edge as desired. Overall for a $20 knife, it works as intended.
