Excellent range and pattern. Paired with a 100 ft hose and adapter this makes for great home fire defense when a hydrant is nowhere near such as a cabin. Even at 40psi, this will put out house fires.

Wildfires near where I live has struck fear into everyone. I rushed to set up a pump system that could draw water from a pool. I needed a 2 inch nozzle quickly and this was delivered overnight, the only one I could get that fast, and the price was far less than many other 2 inch nozzles that were available. This nozzle seems sturdy, it’s very solid feeling and has weight to it. It’s described as being brass, and that appears to be true. It fits perfectly on my 2 inch discharge hose and although I haven’t run water through it yet, I anticipate that it will work well. I will update this review if it doesn’t.

This fit my budget for a nozzle. It's not the prettiest looking, nozzle, however, it has withstood heat from a fire and seems alright using it. It did what I needed it to do, and still seems durable enough for future uses. Would buy again.

We regularly use a 1-1/2" fire hose to do clean-outs after pumping concrete. This nozzle is perfect for the job as the price is best and it is reasonably durable. While not as durable as brass, it is enough to get the job done. In our experience, the brass equivalent will break at the threaded collar as will the plastic when either of them are repeatedly dropped to the cement or asphalt. (due entirely to the knuckleheads not being more careful). The much lower price makes this the best choice. We bought 4 of them and could not be happier.

I took the attached photo from my front door last week. Everything around us was on fire. We had prepared for a moment like this by buying 10 of these nozzles just 2 months ago plus a dozen fire hoses we could pull out to protect various buildings on our ranch. To our horror, when we pulled these nozzles out of the box and tried to use them, 7 out of 10 of them didn't work! The 3 that did work had half the range of the cheaper more traditional style red plastic forestry nozzles. This is totally unacceptable. Of the 7 nozzles that didn't work, you could clearly tell they were defective because the brass piece that is supposed to be in the center was off center. Some were worse than others. Of the 3 that were property centered, the nozzles still did not work well. This is an inherently terrible nozzle design, even if you get one that isn't totally defective. The people writing positive reviews for these must have never used any other style of fire nozzle before. I am a volunteer fire fighter. I have used many types of nozzles. This nozzle isn't comparable to any other type of nozzle I've used. The cheaper ones with the smaller round black rubber bumper ring around them and a black bolt in the center actually work much better than these. Save a few bucks and buy those. I thought this brass version would be higher quality. I was wrong. Don't make the mistake we made did.

Worked great week one. Now you can barely turn it to open or close it. Wouldn’t recommend it.

I have to admit it actually works better than my old solid brass commercial fire nozzles and has a way wider range of spray patterns for the volumes it can handle even when running at way under optimal working pressures and flows. If you need to do large area lawn/field watering or equipment washdown by hand this nozzle is perfect for it! At anything over 25 PSI and 20 GPM input it does very well in all spray patterns and if you can get it up to 60+ PSI and 70+ GPM it's wild!
