Direct Line: An Official Nightingale Conant Publication

I bought this for my hubby. He was getting promotions at a rapid pace. He is already an effective leader, so I wanted to gift him with timeless wisdom to a man who already was great. He has this book along with the workbook next to his side of the bed and reads it over and over again. He appreciated the gift.

A nice selection of articles from Earl Nightingale's Direct Line program. If you've listened to DL, you will immediately recognize that this is only some of them, although it seemed to me to have left out some of the more dated commentaries. Well worth a read.

I enjoyed this book. It has good ideas in different situations in life. I wish it was more detailed, but it gave some good insight in various topics.

I first learned of the Direct Line program through Jeffrey Gittomer many years ago. Thanks to EBay, I was able to acquire the cassette tapes and have listened (and relistened) to Earl’s ideas for many hours. The bibliography he presents within has proven to be a rich source of additional learning. Anyone who is a serious student of life will benefit. Sure, some of the material is now dated, but the rest is pure gold. To see that this program is now in print form is wonderful. I plan to give a copy to each of my children. It’s that good.

Love Earl Nightingale because he not only gave solid advice but always gave you ways to implement it. inspiring but practical too. I listen to it every day to help me stay focused on the right things. Highly recommend.
