Hape Kitchen (E3453)

This is a super cute set! Love the colors -- they're retro yet modern looking and not kitschy at all. I imagine this set will go well with whichever standard 1:12 dollhouse you put it in and it's easy mix-and-match'able with other dollhouse sets, Hape's own or not.My 2.5 year old LOVES playing with this. There're so many imaginary scenarios she can come up with because this set has some really cool features and accessories: all the doors open and close (i.e. oven, cupboard, fridge) and the accessories can be placed wherever you like (these consist of a sauce pan, pot, kitchen towel, and what looks like a blender/coffee machine). I've included a picture of how the set looks in the Le Toy Van dollhouse, as well as placed a Melissa & Doug doll next to it so you get an idea of size. Beware, however, the doll itself is large large (5"+). Love the fact that it's all wood and the manufacturer claims the paint is food-grade. Happy with my purchase!

We really like this Kitchen Set by Hape. It is simple but very attractive. I nice touch being the coffee maker and pans. I'm happy with the quality. I have purchased most of their sets to furnish a Ryans Room Wooden Doll House. This and the other available room sets are well thought out in terms of what they include. The color pallet is also attractive. It is neither garish nor pale neutrals. The colors chosen appeal to both boys and girls alike. I painted panels of the Ryans Room "Home is Where the Heart" is House (taking inspiration from the Hape All Seasons Doll House) as i think it better sets off the furniture sets.

I bought this for my daughter- we bought a Plan Toy First Dollhouse second hand on a whim and decided to fix it up, but it needed new furniture. I wanted to keep the natural wood look of the doll house for the furniture, and this set fits well, comes with two little pots and a coffee maker, and a dish rag. We were starting from scratch, so the fact that the furniture is just a tiny bit smaller in scale than the Plan Toys line of furniture didn't matter- and I plan to buy the Hape family as well, so the counter height will work well. Even if it didn't, its meant for a toddler and I don't think they really mind. My son likes playing with it to, and sometimes his firemen come over and make pancakes for everyone, so we are happy. Cute set, and nicely priced.

Our 4 year old loves playing with the large Plan doll house that we have had for about 15 years. We decided to add a kitchen set for her this year. I like the color on this one, rather than just plain wood with Plan. It is so cute! It even comes with a kitchen towel (which we put a stitch in to permanently attach it to the stove so it would not get lost). She has played with it a lot since she opened it, and it was the one item she nearly insisted we unpackage before we were done opening gifts on Christmas morning. Nice quality, cute toy!

We bought this because all our other doll house furniture is wood. Very cute set, great quality and fits in the doll house but smaller than I expected. For example, the fridge is 1/2 the size of the mother doll (fisher price loving family mother), and to "cook" mother has to bend in 1/2 over the stove. Best advice - check what size dolls you have.

I love this product. My grandchildren loved the new pieces that were added to the dollhouse. Very simple design, sturdy, and great for imaginative play.

Simple colors and design are attractive on these pieces. Refrigerator is one door with little design to appear as separate freezer and fridge sections, cabinets under sink open as well as the oven door. Little towel, pot with lid, pan, and mixer are fine, but easily choking hazards for younger children. Remove those little accessories and this set would be great for a wide age range.Though, it is listed as 1:12 scale, they seem slightly small. It's a little fiddly to open drawers and put things in/remove from oven. My kiddo is also more interested in dolls dancing or changing clothes right now, so the set is not played with often. I think us adults like it more than she does!
