Great content. Lousy book binding.
The content is great! Unfortunately the new hard copy I purchased has scores of pages falling out. And many pages are stuck together. Shame such a great book has cheap printing.

More than Excellent
This book on architectural acoustics is really wonderful; so enlightening about so many aspects of sound: the history of the design around sound (music halls), the physics behind it, and how to design for quality acoustical performance. As a lay physics enthusiast, I was really taken by this book. I really learned so much about this mostly invisible, but critical part of the world around us.

Excellent and Accessible Summary of Architectural Acoustics.
Ermann has put together a wonderful update to books for Architectural Acoustics. His book is intended for readers that have not been exposed to architectural acoustics before. The reader does not need an engineering or advanced math background. The illustrations and "infographics" are beautiful, concise and easy to understand. It is now my first choice to use when exposing new people, who don't have a strong math or engineering background, to the field of architectural acoustics.
