Can be an ABSOLUTE gamechanger!!!
Learning to TIG weld, and things were not going well. After purchasing this, I discovered that what my on-tank flow meter said, and what was coming out of my torch were vastly different.I set my flow rate using this device, and TIG welding all of a sudden became SO easy. By far the best money I have spent on welding supplies. Trust, BUT verify........ (I put a piece of masking tape on the scale of my flow meter, and marked it correctly based on what was coming out of my torch.)

Useless without a modification, but accurate afterwards
The chamber tapers in a way that allows the ball to jam up very easily, requiring disassembly and careful handling in order to use. I found it almost completely unusable until I made a wire insert which allowed the ball to remain loose. Once this was done (see images) the gauge measured flow consistently with a machine mounted flow meter

Nice little flow gage.
When I first tried it the bann was stuck. I had to manually moveit to get it to work. Once freed it it appeared to work.

Can't be sure I trust the reading.
The ball likes to get stuck in the bottom and will not indicate flow. It reads several CFH lower than the flow meter on my Miller so the question comes up - - which one is right? Since the ball loves to stay stuck in the bottom I am going to keep trusting what the Miller gauge tells me and scrap this thing.

Its a nice tool to have around when you are checking your argon ga vrs what you are getting at the torch end.

Better than nothing
I used someone’s flow gauge at work (different brand) and thought it was something useful to have so I ordered this one. It’s very cheaply made especially compared to the one I used at work. It’s better than nothing I guess. The ball gets stuck in the bottom of the tube so you have to get that loose before testing gas flow. Feels like this wants to come apart really easy too

Super ce controleur de debit pour gaz argon sur poste a souder mig,il se met au bout de la torche et permet de connaitre le debit de gaz pour vèrifier l'èxactitude du manomètre et s'utilise aussi avec le detendeur sans manomètre des bouteilles jetables.

Sehr Praktisch, um den Argon oder Mischgas-Durchsatz zu messen. Auch als Überprüfung, des aufgebauten Drückmanometer, zu verwenden!! Zum weiter Empfehlen. Sollte bei keinem Schweiß-Vorgang fehlen!!
